So I count 15 different models but with different weights choices....same as last year, nothing new. There also is 2 or 3 PX versions and a VTS version from last year at no up charge that are not listed.

Based on last year's offerings and snippets of what I've heard, my guesses are: Black/White/Red Tie, Black/Silver Rogue, Speeder 661/757 Evo TS, Tour Blue & Green, Fuji Pros, KK, and maybe PX and Diamana?

My buddy got flight scope fit this week with the Oreo Cookie M1 and saw MASSIVE (6+ MPH) gains in distance and forgiveness vs his Vapor TW, which was also custom fit and beat all comers until this week. He used to be the master fitter/builder for a major OEM so I trust him and he does not typically like TM. So while it looks like crap to me I'm betting it and the LTD will be game changers. He told me to be prepared to LOVE it.

Said it feels JUST LIKE the 510tp

Good stuff. My G30 LS is nervous in the bag already.

No one has mentioned this I don't think, but the black/white crown seems like a good alignment aid like the Odyssey Versa putter.

At $500 I would hope these shafts are no upcharge. Some really nice shafts but nothing too over the top IMO. All seem to have been or are standard offering from other OEM's with maybe an exception on the TiNi.

Its a beast in my R11s, which is why I have not changed since then....really good combo, for me.

I'd possibly think about trying the Aldila Rogue Silver, but there isn't much in the offerings that are soft but/stiff tip like the Ahina to be honest, but for playing characteristics, the Rogue Silver may be close ish. Just depends if you like the feel, and the only way you'll know is like the rest of us, go try I'm afraid.

Just curious: since you bring it up, there are no "Tour" heads yet available so what would you anticipate to be the differences and the advantage in the so-called Tour heads? Others have said there will be no TP version since the main advantage to a Tour Preferred from TaylorMade was the upgraded shaft but now that's really not a consideration. Fill me in, okay?

I am guessing here, but possible looking for a certain "spec". Open face, COR tested, etc. maybe not as draw biased as some off the rack drivers.

I really like the look of these but there is no way I am paying $499 or even $399 for one. That's just too much. I said in a previous thread I wasn't buying new irons either. The prices are just insane. I am stopping the madness for myself. Hope you guys that buy it enjoy it immensely.

Haha. I'm sure the February cabin fever will make me reconsider, but man, I don't think I can do it. Clubs just depreciate so fast now days that the more money you spend, the more money you lose reselling them. It would be different if I lived in a warm climate. By the time I get my hands on a M1 driver to test outdoors it will have been on the market for 6 months. Even the used ones next May will still cost a pretty penny.

Maybe I'm just getting old and cranky? Dang, there's some kids on my lawn. Gotta go!

My feeling is that the Oban Devo would be worth the $499 price and a few others....$399 makes the most sense with those shafts and call it the TP version. $329 for a watered down version non TP and $499 wiirh most of the current up charge shafts and $599 with top shelf shafts. All overpriced right ow IMHO

The Rick Shiels version had a hotmelt port and was 8.5 loft. I doubt that's a retail model. I'm sure there are plenty of tour models out there already. How long before we can get our hands on them for a ton of money? Who knows...

Forgive my ignorance as well regarding Taylormade drivers since I've never gamed one. In the past I've never liked the feel of just about all their offerings and they just haven't performed for me but this one has me intrigued. I generally like smaller shaped driver heads so what are the main differences between the 460 and 430 models? Just lower spin? Is there a big drop off in forgiveness?

Mainly the reason I've been gaming Callaway drivers is that they seem to produce smaller drivers that offer a good amount of forgiveness and just happen to feel awesome (To me). Here's to hoping the M1 can change that. I've never been a big TM fan but I'll play whatever that works best for my game.
