Terry Gannon is killing me!

Has anybody else noticed Terry Gannon changing his voice up during his calls? He goes from the normal voice to suddenly sounding like a bad Chris Bergman impersonation. Once I noticed it I can't stop picking it up now and it's driving me insane! Anybody else notice his?

I don't notice it. Terry is actually one of the best in the business. He's great whether he's doing PGA or LPGA.

He usually doesn't bother me but I noticed this year that he started chiming in about what Tiger needs to do with his golf swing... I mean, seriously? It's bad enough with the constant Faldo analysis but now I've got to listen to someone who can't break 90 talk about his mechanics?

I actually like Terry. Does a pretty good job IMO.

Another dark horse is Bob Poppa, who does the Champions Tour sometimes.

These folks are hired to entertain. That includes announcing, analysis and whatever else it takes to communicate. Berman is the only one I refuse to listen to.

He is a professional broadcaster - he is good. However, there is something that is sometimes odd about his voice that sounds somewhat contrived. That said if Judy likes him then he is ok with me.

I like him. I like him even more after the coverage switches to CBS and I have to listen to Nance.

Gannon has a really good rapport with Faldo. He doesn't mind needling him and it lightens the mood of the coverage. Doesn't seem to feel the need to constantly call Faldo, Sir Nick or point out his HOF status.

Yes you can tell when he's putting on his broadcaster voice and then realizes he won't have enough air to finish the sentence so he finishes with his regular speaking voice.

Yeah, he's not real eloquent or polished, but that's part of his charm, lol. He knows his stuff, has a laid back delivery, ... and, it's football season, baby!!!

He's a good sports jockey, but like all the rest of them, he could shut up once in awhile.
