He is doing this to fit his primary objective: to troll the pros that are popular on this site.

To him it seems if he can get another pro to gain favor with the other members of the forum, he can denigrate the position of people like iTeach, Monte, Waldron, etc.

With 399 posts of zero substance and counting since July, he is going after a forum record as well.

Ive been working all summer on getting the club in front of me on the downswing using Pete Cowen's method. I struggled on getting the feel for it. Watching the Malaska video re Joe Nichols has given me the right feel now. A couple of practice sessions have been enlightneing and on course performance has improved markedly.

That was the thing, I kinda knew what I needed to do, I was just doing it the wrong way. Doing that little drill was like oh ok, THATS what it feels like!

Couple of weeks later but unfortunately only a few range sessions in that time frame. To me the transition looks slightly less "under":

After watching his videos on Adjacency it got me wondering, "Perhaps people might 'get' golf a little easier if they relaxed/removed the rules on grips being round?" When you look at all the other rackets and sticks used for hand eye striking of a ball with some sort of face, none have a round handle. People seem to pick up these other sports easier. Perhaps learning and finding a grip could be made easier by allowing other shapes.

Is there a rule about grips being round? 99% of putter grips are not round.

I thought the rule applied to all clubs except putter, like I think there's even a rule about reminder grips, the reminder or rib can't be built up too much? Or maybe I'm making that up haha.

I honestly don't know but it's strange that there would be special exceptions for a certain club. All clubs should have the same rules applied

Yeah looked them up recently cause I was thinking of using a V putter grip on my driver.

I have been working on digesting this move over the last couple of weeks, and watched the videos several times. Played on Saturday, and felt like it was starting to make sense. Over the first 8 holes I only made 2 good swings (defined as feeling like I made the swing I wanted to make) and hit 2 fairways (I'm ignoring GIR as my distance control was affected). From 9 onwards, when I just jumped in and decided to trust it, I made 11 good swings, hit 7 of 8 fairways, missing that one by a foot. My average FIR is 5.something, and trending down lately, so I think this drill will certainly help me.

The big thing for me was not to rush the transition, and give things time to happen. My hesitation (especially with the longer clubs) initially was not trusting that the clubhead speed would be there, but my fears were allayed once I trusted it, and even picked up some speed. I hit GPS-verified drives of 317, 322, 334 and 356, 3 of which are not beyond the outer edge of my "I nutted that one" zone, but they were all dead centre of the fairway, which is unusual for me (/end active brag).

To maintain my clubhead speed but gain greater control is the best of both worlds for me. I will continue to work on the drill over the winter, but I think the simplicity of it fits with what I try to think about i.e. as little as possible.

Played with this for the first time, only hit the range one time.

For the most part, iron play was pretty solid(blew the cup up almost jarring one from 168) and wedge game was better, struggled getting the feel with driver though, it was fairly windy and I hit some fades that rode the wind pretty hard, and some just fat out horrible OB slices.

Playing again wed, will report back!

I just wonder what happens when you"nut" one.
