Gabe also uploaded a new video (

). I'm a member of the GG site but videos like this and knowing gabe is involved just makes it feel so shady, like how he "found some old vids" that somehow link to his new paysite and he doesn't even disclaim his own involvement in the GG site. I like the content on the site but with the people involved i can't help but have a bad feeling...

Minus Gabe that was actually one of the better videos I've seen posted as far as George's teaching. He gave some variations on the pivot where as the original posts in this thread were all one variation.

The section on the different pivots was really interesting, showed that it's not just squeezing everyone into one pattern that other posts might have suggested

I know that guy. He's finally getting his right shoulder forward. ;-)

All "tips" are welcome. Instruction not desired.

^^^ so much for it being a "young guys" swing.

George posted a new video dealing with the driver on the Facebook members page. Lot of detail on cause and effect of tilting and pivot. Great stuff as usual.

My golf buddy showed me that GG new facebook update on driver. Totally new information to me. For the first time in my life swinging the driver felt natural. Also felt I gained a lot of swing speed. Amazing stuff!

Wow that's a great looking motion. No stall any more and great rotation. Way better than before.

Is this on the site? As part of my 2014 digital simplification initiative I deleted my FB page. Can someone link it?

Okay. I don't know this guy. Maybe I should pay more attention. Anyway, nice looking swing.

The whole external rotation of the lead knee and squatting of the trail knee or as he calls it "flexion" is pretty darn hard to execute. I've watched the videos like 100 times and I can't get it down

It's not as hard as you're likely making it. Take a ball that will fit in between your knees at address. Take a backswing and drop the ball in transtion to start the downswing.

Simplify the process and just try and keep the right knee from going internal for longer. Then the full move will be easier.

Thanks Monte. Great to see you chime in. Hearing it in a different way sometimes help.

Try this with no club as well for a slightly different feeling.

Go to the top of your backswing with just your arms crossed on your chest. From there feel like you are pressuring your trail foot in the heel & lead foot in the toes while you spread the floor with both feet.

Let me know if you don't understand what I mean by spread the floor.

What does it (spread the floor) feel like?

Thanks!

After only one lesson? Including head swivel? It looks like he's been years with him! Well done, hstead.

This is not a knock on GG.

Heath is a temeneous athlete and can pretty much do what he wants.

Spreading the floor is a cue used around weight lifting circles to facilitate proper execution of squats and deadlifts. Incidentally, it's a cue I've used to work in my journey to fix EE. First video in the link attached may help with the concept: http://ericcressey.com/5-lose-fat-gain-muscle-get-strong-move-better-60

Yep exactly - spreading the floor helps get both legs externally rotated to start the downswing (right knee over right toes and left knee working toward target).

Another good feeling or exercise I do is place a resistance band around the outside of both legs right below the knee and as I swing concentrate on keeping constant tension on the band not allowing to fall to my ankles. Also make the move easier when you don't have the band on.

What did it look like before?

I agree would be nice to see a before and after. Also, is the eyes off the ball, david duval, type release part of it? Dont believe Heath did that before.

You'd have to ask him ...

He had a very strong foundation to begin with. I was expecting something more drastic with how people were posting on about 'only after one lesson?'

It is a big change, and a great move. But Heath is a really good athlete. He played college ball etc. Your average guy shouldn't be comparing himself to Heath.
