I thought I would start another Gankas thread since the last one was deleted.

 

I will start with his pivot stuff and this video. He likes for a player to feel like they sit into their right side but in the actual full swing he wants the pressure evenly 50-50 to 60-40 left between the feet.

 

I will also state the setup is key.

Its not to hit a punch shot, its to make sure the right arm/wrist maintain bend for longer. Teaches you how much you need to drop/rotate to make it happen

Its not to hit a punch shot, its to make sure the right arm/wrist maintain bend for longer. Teaches you how much you need to drop/rotate to make it happen

 

BINGO!

 

After struggling with an overactive clubface for years. This drill has been key. Forced me into more lateral bend, opened the chest and hips more at impact. My right arm used to be (close to) dead straight at impact which, for me, lead to overdrawing the ball.

 

Too bad we lost that thread.

So is speeding up the arms the proactive way of "chest catching up" - I see chest catching up as description, and not saying he suggests chest catching up as a feel.
