Well...either you or the account that ordered them are officially elite. Congrats and hopefully the rest of us don't actually have to wait until the end of next week to see ours.

My custom set arrived today as well. Actually pulling them out of the box as we speak. Of course I'm a PING account, but I'm heading down to the range right now to hit them! They are gorgeous!

Good god...we don't even have any incoming PING packages showing up on UPS Quantam View for this week...so unless they ship late today, I have no chance of having them before August 15. Not the end of the world...I don't have any golf scheduled until September 9.

I wonder the exact number of iBlade custom sets ordered just on August 1. Hundreds, I'm sure.

I placed my order last Monday, my builder just texted me and says they should be here tomorrow....if he's right, i'll be sure to post some pics once they're built up

I'm really interested to see if that's the case. PING has consistently told me that they aren't shipping iBlade special orders until August 15. I hope they're lying, because mine were ordered on Aug 1 and am already sick of waiting. We placed an order for iBlades this morning with PING, and same answer.

In other news...our stock set of iBlades was delivered today. Every iron looks awesome at address. We can't display until August 11, so I'm not taking pictures.

My set got here today. Couple other sets we ordered for customers as well so they are shipping

Irwin, when were your orders placed? Just found out my order didn't get placed till Friday. I was told to expect them the week of the 15th.

Ordered mine on the 1st.

I put my order in this weekend. I ordered black dot, nippon pro 130, x flex, half inch long.

I spent an hour in the fitting bay and went back and forth comparing shafts and even the iblade against my Titleist AP2 712. I agree with towncryer, the iblade is very easy to hit controlled draws. Also, the forgiveness, compared to my 712s, was incredible.

I first flipped back and forth between KBS shafts and Nippon shafts but it really came down to feel. I felt as if the Nippon shafts were 'smoother' and easier to hit than KBS. I've never hit NIppon before and I have always had DG. Hands down, Nippon was better than my DG S300

Between iblade and 712s, my numbers were almost exactly the same but the shot dispersion and distance was better. iBlade was 10 yards longer and a LOT more consistent than my current clubs. It was fun to see the exact shot being hit every time with the iblades. I felt like I could do it all day with that club.

They told me to expect them August 15th

What was the up-charge for the Modus 130?

None. I ordered my set with the Modus and didn't get charged extra. I believe the stock offerings are on pings website.

It was $25 for the Modus 130. After hitting them, it was worth it. It was so easy to hit the ball with that combination.

Any of the WRXers who got their irons have a chance to hit them yet? I'd love to hear feedback on all eight irons.

There's a chance mine are here on Friday. I never got an order # from our PING rep and we don't have access to PingGolf.biz (retail portal) to look at open orders b/c our boss is out this week. However...our UPS Inbound deliveries shows a 9lb 44x5x5 box shipped on 8/8 and due to be delivered on 8/12. We don't have any open purchase orders with PING that includes irons, and no customer orders placed last week. I'd say it's more than likely my set, but I won't know for sure until Friday afternoon.

Getting excited.

Those look great! I keep on going back to different golf stores just to hit them. I really wish I could try them with my current shafts but I'll probably have to do a fitting to do that.

Mine arrived yesterday (for sale tomorrow). For the first time ever in my golf equipment history, I am turning down a set of new irons. I got to play with a demo set with the same shafts I ordered (N.S. Pro Mod 105). The performance was about the same as the S55s (no better no worse) and both the iBlade and S55s looked very similar at address with the iBlade having a slightly straighter leading edge. Usually cosmetics mean nothing to me but that finish in the iBlade cavity just looks cheap/unfinished/rough. Don't know if it is part of the "water shedding" they claim. The feel between the two models is exactly the same, no difference for me between the 431 and 17-4 steels. But no biggie as the shop just added them to their stock and will probably sell them Thursday morning.. My wife is in total shock, having never known me to not buy the latest and greatest golf equipment.

The irony in the whole thing is I had said the perfect set of irons would be for Ping to make a set match the glide wedges.. for me the execution of the product didn't match the hope...

I must say, I agree about the cavity. That's the only thing keeping me from placing an order for a set. I kinda want to wait and see if there's a huge problem with the cavity getting dirty and marked up from bag chatter. But that's my ONLY holdup. I love everything else about these irons. My Anser irons have plenty of life left, so I can wait.

Hy - Ping G400 22-degree, Alta 70S
5-U - Ping i230, Aerotech Steelfiber i95
54- Ping Glide Pro Forged
59- Ping Glide Pro Forged Eye toe

I cant imagine they would get banged up more than the cavity in Taylormade RSI TP's...mine are dented and all banged up, still a great iron but this area of clubs is often overlooked and ping may have done a similar thing.
