I just got done hitting the demo 7 iron. Let me tell you. Phenomenal!!!!Easiest blade club I have ever hit. Just a boring high draw. The lofts are weaker, but my yardages stayed the same. I currently have a 34* 7 iron and the iblade is 31*

Happy to say I'm moving on from Nike to these. Going to put my order in tomorrow.

The only downside I may see is the price tag. 1199 for 3-pw. Even the guys at golfsmith commented on the price.

I'm a big ping fan, but unless I hear that the plating will stay put, I will look elsewhere after 4 generations of Ping blade irons. S59-S57-S56-S55.

Ever since they released the plated irons, instead of their historical, bulletproof tumble finish, Ping has not addressed the delamination issues. I've had about 4 warranty claims. I can show anyone pics of the delamination. Listen Ping, stick by your guns and don't cave into the pressures of the industry.

Even with adjustable woods, they initially claimed it's not conducive to proper weight distribution. They eventually caved in to the industry. In fact I'd claim Ping was the pioneer in the concept of adjustability with their TISI, while still glued. Brilliant.

Ping had a niche. They had bulletproof cast irons, and they were best at it. Now they are just a choice among many OEMS. Sad really. They lost their identity.

If it's the same as the Glide wedges, you needn't worry.

If it's fixed, wow, only took nearly a decade through 4 iterations of the S series.

I got to hit these today on Trackman against my S55. Ball speed on the iBlade was slightly higher, but launch and spin were way up. Apex height was about 10-15 feet higher with the iBlade; spin was nearly 1000 rpm higher

Which shaft did you test and was it comparable between irons? An additional 1,000 rpm sounds like a lot.

Both had Modus 130x in them. My fitter said he saw the same thing...good ball speed and height, but at least 500+ RPM more spin going from S55 to iBlade. The iBlade should be a great fit for anyone who needs a little more help with launch and spin

As a bit of a lower ball hitter, I could use a bit more launch and spin. Now, just to pick a shaft... :)

Review from crossfield and rick shiels just arrived!!

How does Crossfield not know that they aren't forged?

Looks like quite a bit of visible bag chatter already on the 5 iron close up from Crossfield's review. :stink:

The finish is the only thing I'm nervous about. Seriously considering iron headcovers.

I'm curious about the delamination pictures. Mind to show them here? I thought Ping was notoriously good with warranty claims. Have you experienced otherwise?

Ping didn't cave to the industry. They worked on it until they created an adjustable hosel that did not add additional weight or size to the hosel area compared to a glued one so they didn't have to sacrifice MOI. Once they figured it out it went into their product.
