Hey, apps are the lifeblood of iPhones.

 

Pretty much running out of things to do with hardware. Let’s’ change to USB-C and call it an upgrade, or maybe Titanium around the edge.

Apple has a lot left to be desired;

 

I've owned Macs since blue smurf G3 days, still have a pristine AL tower & iPads but their arrogance on customer service, leaving me locked off phone for 8 weeks, trying to charge me $1500 for some dopey game tokens my 8 year old played and their less than great builds of Macbook Pro's, two that I bought for my daughters, both of which had 2 screen fails, has me on Lenovo laptop & a Flip 5 phone and I've been very happy.

I still have some 3D headsets in the garage from when we worked on AR and VR in about 2017.  We had our own iPad app to fool around with. AR was just too rough.

 

We had a total golf VR running on a PC coupled with full body 3D. You stepped into a room and there was a full size tour pro avatar with a golf swing. Your own avatar could meld into the tour pro avatar as much as you chose.

 

You could run the swing from panels on a wall  of the virtual room and run it at any speed or stop action, while your avatar live actions could be in sequence halfway inside the tour swing avatar. You could see your body segments and the pro segments at the same time.

 

We had the only 3D system that tracked live action. No one else could. They could only record and play back. It was amazing.

 

It was just too advanced for its time.

 

The problem with headsets has never gone away. The smallest lag time between visual and neurological response, even a millisecond, regardless of frequency, induces vertigo in about 50% of people. It can take 30 minutes or more for people to recover.

 

People will buy it, half will put it away in a drawer quickly.

1 double. Shot 37 on the back with 2 birdies and 1 double. Could have been much better but

I guess that's the story of any round. Could also have been worse, I guess, lol.

Hey. While you’re at it. Call Google. Tell them I said their latest version sucks.  Here’s why. If I type in a location , it no longer gives me the option of a one button link to directions. What the crap. That’s been a thing since the iPhone came about. All of the sudden last week or so. Not there. 
 

if they can take a second away from world dominance via  their “ secret algorithm “ long enough to fix that. I’d be pleased as punch.  🤣

I'm a hypocrite when it comes to new tech. I whine about it but enjoy it at the same time. Like

What the media is trying to hype as "AI" these days is not AI. It's effectively just a decision tree ... which isn't a new concept in computer science in the least. It's like 5-10 years ago where everything was all "blockchain." Blockchain is barely anything more than a distributed Excel spreadsheet. OH BUT IT WAS GOING TO CHANGE THE WORLD. Nah, It hasn't. Except enabling a lot of scammers to rip people off. 

 

The difference nowadays is big data - we have a lot to look at. And the larger problem is the reliability of that data.

I've been told for almost 30 years that I'd be replaced by something or another. It hasn't happened. Because what outsiders seem to think about building software ... the actual code is about 10% of my time. The majority of software development is dealing with other humans.

Makes total sense. Not only have the Lions never won the SB, they’ve never even made it to the SB. (I mean check the pics below ⬇️ It’s just plain sad). Ppl w/o a dog in the fight almost always take the underdog. Def helps they are a very likable team with an even more likable HC. I’d def b rooting for em if it wasn’t for them playing the home town team. Should b a great game!

Well to give you a heads up before you bet. In the last 3 years I did buy one club from a member in the Forged Club Appreciation on FB. It was a Mac 11 iron. I did do a trade deal my M-6 driver for the current Callaway in my signature. I have not been to Goodwill or the Army stores in 3 years now. I have sold quite a bit of stuff. I am pretty well satisfied on the set up in the signature and my classic stuff I am pretty well satisfied with the 3 sets I rotate for my vintage 9 hole and Par3 rounds.

You will not hear any from me--- I am as brand agnostic on that stuff as I am golf equipment---- But honestly in the tech world I am too ignorant on it to form an opinion--- Basically if it works and I can talk and sometimes text on my phone I am ok. I have banana fingers and so I do not text much. Like I said before I do not carry a phone much. Computer wise as long as I can get on here and write and can get on my FB sites I am good. I have gotten better on E mail though since I get stuff from the league and church. You would be proud of me. During the extremely cold weather I cleared out 3500 unread E- Mails and have gotten in the habit of checking them every day. My church secretary and my league secretary have thanked me. LOL in fact my church secretary showed me how to delete them.

Speaking of the Titanic. Someone posted pics the other day on FB of the wreck. One was of the swimming pool. One person posted that it was a wonder that the swimming pool still held water after over 100 years on the bottom of the ocean. Man you ought to have read the comments. I honestly think that airhead was serious. I guess it got so much name calling etc. that they have taken that post down I guess because I have not seen it again. If she was serious it scares me to think people are that stupid. I hope if she was serious that she does not reproduce

I hate scammers--- IMHO anyone ripping off people via electronics is as bad as someone taking a gun and holding up a store. Our phones do a scam alert on some calls. If I get a call and it is not shown as someone on my list I do not answer. If it is someone I do not know and it is legit leave a voice mail message. If it is a sales call I will delete. I do have fun on those sometimes. If they call on Sunday sometimes I will call back and lecture them on doing business on Sunday. I also lecture them on the fact we refuse to do business with any company soliciting on Sunday. Basically we are like the old Sugarloaf song "Don't Call Us We'll Call You". We might be old school but we prefer to deal for goods and services locally face to face. Sorry to all you sales people and retired sales people

The problem with Player is that his reason changed, depending on the circumstances. And what other people said the reason was. 🙂

 

He’s also said he got it from the TV series “Palladin,” and his father told him he needed a trademark.

 

He’s said he just likes the color black because it’s classy.

 

He got a lot of grief and harassment on the course when he wrote that he was a supporter of apartheid in South Africa. He changed his mind later, and others said he was making a statement against apartheid.

 

Player could go with whichever direction the wind blew that day.

 

Player says a lot of things in declarative statements. I wonder if he uses black razors to shave his underarms, which he credits as part of his success with his golf swing, and says everyone should do?
