These look like full leather upper, waterproof FI Flex basically

Nice. Seeing these makes me think these would be perfect Nike ID offerings! Materials and color ways...and since I'm asking a spiked or spikeless option

Dang. Cool looking stuff. But Weezy only wears size 9.5? She's 6' 1", I'm 5' 6". She wears shoes that are 2 sizes smaller than me? Weird.

It's women's 9.5, so men's 11.5 right?

Wrong way. Women's 9.5 is men's 7.5.

Wrong....women's 9.5 converts to men's 8

Sorry. I was off by half a size. I just used the first chart Google popped up.

To be fair it really depends on what shoe size conversion chart you use. Your chart says 1.5 size diff. Mine says 2 size diff. Nike actually says that a 10 1/8" foot should be 9.5 women's and 8.5 men's.... Then the Chuck im wearing right now say Men's 9.5 Women's 11.5.

Nike is 1.5 size difference between men and women.

I wear an 11 in women's and a 9.5 in men's pretty much across the board. I can't believe Michelle Wie is that damned tall and wears a 9.5. I'm seriously jealous.

The Nike PE editions have been fire lately. Love Wiezy's shoes.

When did Adidas start putting Flywire on their golf shoes? Assuming it's a product of some of the shoe designers they stole from Nike. Did the patent expire?

Around 1948 with the three stripes! (Trade mark purchased from Karhu)

the three stripes design is not "flywire" if that's what you're thinking he meant.

Nice. Seeing these makes me think these would be perfect Nike ID offerings! Materials and color ways...and since I'm asking a spiked or spikeless option

Edited: for spelling

would love that, i could basically remake TW15s then :)

Look at Danielle Kangs shoes from the Solheim Cup. Looks like flywire.

Nike defines flywire as "Flywire technology – strong, lightweight cables that hug the midfoot – integrate with the laces for secure lockdown and stability".

I marked the VaporMax flywire cables in yellow color. I didn't mark the middle and the back flywire to better distinguish the cables.

I didn't see the adidas shoe model, but could be the same style concept?

well clearly adi hasn't been doing that since 1948. that's why i was pointing out the other guy may not have known what you meant by flywire.

Of course I know what Flywire is, I have several pairs of Nike golf shoes with Flywire. The adidas 3 stripes are there to secure the foot and intergrate with the laces too. OK they may not have used metallic wire in 1948 but the concept is the same.

Puma Disc shoes used wires back in the early 90's as have Boa since the early 00's

Are you saying that every pair of Adidas has wire built into the three stripes or somehow the three stripes are structural on all their shoes since 1948?

Yes, I thought that this was well known? The 3 stripes brand was purchased by Adi Dassler from Karhu for a few bottles of whisky and a small amount of money. Adi Dassler used the three stripes to secure the foot in the shoe, hence the purchase from Karhu.

Adi Dassler was a supreme innovator and came up with many innovations, including the changeable football (soccer) studded (cleated) boot. This helped the West German football team win the 1952 World Cup against the much fancied Hungarian team and was known as The Miracle Of Bern. They even made a movie about it

sorry, but there is no possible way that these three stripes have ANYTHING to do with the structure of the shoe. while there may be *something* built into *some* of the shoes, you saying that all of their shoes have had this technology is simply incorrect.
