Black with the carbon fiber top please. Only thing that's held me back from the m1/2

 

Continental golf can refinish a white one to black crown for 50 bucks.

 

And it looks phenomenal.

Very interesting in the fairway and hybrid. Much more interesting than the driver. Just seems odd to go Gray/volt on the sole, but keep the crown black/white. I'd actually have loved to see the crown go all gray with maybe a hint of volt. Not enough to make you traditionalists cringe, but enough to attract young bucks like me who always thought Nike products looked cool.

 

Agreed. I've been a traditionalist mainly but went towards the volt since I have a vapor flex driver and vapor pro irons and never really liked the white until the two tone M series but got a tour issue m1 3 wood and love it. I've been working on embracing the color changed in equipment as the color doesn't affect the quality and function.

If you want an all black crown (for the driver at least) you'll have two options: 1) get it refinished or 2) wait for TM's sales to lag a bit and then release a black driver to help boost them. That's it.

 

Look at the buzz Rory generated when he switched to M2. Every time someone saw an image of him hitting driver last week, you saw the unmistakeable paint scheme of the M series. It's a marketer's dream. It's been that way since white drivers were introduced with the R11 and it isn't changing anytime soon, I'd bet. The only time they seem to release black drivers to retail is when sales are lagging a bit (e.g., R1 black) or they need to try and boost them up front (R15).

Another angle of the driver.

 

Looks like at least the face and heel portion are level with the height of the sliding weights, but the lighter grey area and the carbon portion do seem to be lower. Very interesting sole design to say the least.

 

 

 

From the looks of the Sole, the weights seem to be above the bottom edge. The front one looks to be slightly angled front lower and even to higher at the back of the weight and above the bottom edge of the Sole.

 

Looks like another reason why higher caps should not be using the M1 version if the weight hits the ground first instead of the sole.

 

I would rather see the new M2 stuff because it should have a heavier weight in back to off set the carbon sole design instead of the 0.5 gram weight in the current model.

All three clubs look awful to me and almost look fake... I thought the m1 looked like crap when it came out too and kinda like the look now so whatever.

great looking gear. very interested to see how a second generation product performs. in the past hit has been hit or miss - and perhaps the "gains" weren't as noticeable as the first generation improvements. not a huge fan of the paint fill choice - but in this case it can be changed as it's not a plastic medallion.

Epic looks better then the M1 if you ask me but then again we are only seeing the sole not the crown.

That M1 hybrid is so ridiculous and hokey looking it made me question if these were real clubs or a hoax. I dislike hybrids anyway, but that is the worst on I've seen.
