Nike Apparel looks cheap.

Hey, that's mean! Some little kid in China worked hard to make those clothes.

The best part about the NIKE deal is that it will presumably rid him of all the corporate logos he wears.

Interesting if true. Day had just signed a few of those deals.

I know him and have received a couple of polo's and pants from Dustin - they're a different fit for sure from what is available via Adidas Golf website. I can put pictures up if anyone would like. Helps to be the same size as him.

I have a few of his pieces from Tour. I find them to fit between adidas' Small & Medium, but they are looooooooooong, like almost to my knees and I'm 6'2! The Tour logos are different. I am still trying to find what I call his Victory Polo that he wore Sunday at the US Open, Bridgestone, and BMW.

Certainly a great one to keep. Being attached to Canada is an excellent thing, plus they pay him a crapload to do next to nothing. There's just something comforting knowing that the profits RBC is making from farting around with my retirement savings is going towards paying Jason Day, you know?

Part of my disdain for Nike is the zero thought that goes into their golf shirts. Similar to their soccer shirts they come up with one template and murder it. No imagination.

you're joking surely? Whenever Nike comes out with new styles of clothing they get slammed to death by everyone on wrx! If it was a footjoy logo nobody would say a word!!

So if the majority share the same opinion why would I be joking? Footjoy at least look as though some thought has gone into them instead of luminous awful colour at 80 bucks year in year out.

I can see what you are saying about the Nike templates, but I've always thought it was lazy of adidas to always incorporate their 3-stripes motif into everything. I don't mind a logo, and I even understand a big logo, but using the 3 stripes on almost everything is lazy from a design standpoint.

Adidas makes nice stuff - much of which is not available to us. Some of the tour only shirts they dress DJ with look awesome.

I've contacted Adidas in the past trying to find out if there's any way the public can get them, and they told me the tour only stuff is just that - and the only way to find them is buddy up to a tour player and try to score them off him.

I know him and have received a couple of polo's and pants from Dustin - they're a different fit for sure from what is available via Adidas Golf website. I can put pictures up if anyone would like. Helps to be the same size as him.

Nike does make awesome gear though - JD will look good sporting their stuff.

Anyone who wants more of the Nike Modern Fit look in their polo's should try Adidas ClimaCool line - much better fit than traditional Adidas. ClimaChill fit huge, stay away.

That makes no business sense. Why not release it at an inflated price like the Nike TW collection? Golfers would be all over it. It's like only being able to buy football or baseball berseys with no numbers on them. I didn't know this, no wonder Nike dominates apparel.

The bay is heated. Wearing cold weather gear only for the video.

I was being sarcastic, with some of the "injuries" he ends up with and reasons for wd it all seems fake

I'm conflicted on this signing. No doubt he's a great golfer, but as mentioned ^ and all over this forum - some of his injuries/dramatization have been humorous at times. I hope he gets his health in check and is a force for years to come.

Bigger danger is him hitting off those mats. He'll probably end up with wrist-knack that way though, to be fair, if anything needs popping back in, TW is only a phone call away.

The question is how long does Nike Apparel last in the Golf Industry. I honestly can't see their sales going UP considering they are not making equipment. In my experiences the 10-15 guys I play with maybe 2 wear any nike gear. Nike loves to spend cash but I don't see this helping there brand at all.

Until golfers start playing the game while naked, Nike is going to make a nice profit providing soft goods to golfers. They left the unprofitable side of golf (hard goods) to concentrate on what they do best (and what is most profitable)--soft goods.

This. The margins on soft goods are nuts, especially with polos running 100+ and trendy skinny sweatshirts running 175+? Jeesh...

Nike is at the forefront of soft goods tech, but still, the prices for new stuff is bananas.
