Just ordered 4-PW 770s with the Project X LZ 105g +0.5" and the GolfPride MCC Plus4 Greys.

Can't wait.

What is that shaft.....PX LZ 105? 5.0 is 110g

Some new offering?

New light weight LZ's, they are the stock shaft offering for the callaway epic irons

exactly. I hit these witht he Callaway Epic Pros but couldn't justify the price, so ordered them with my 770s which should be arriving today.

The P770's are surprisingly soft feeling. I expected something more like the AP2, but these feel great. I just wish the topline was thinner.

Anyone compared the 770 to the Cobra King Tour Forged/Fly-Z+?

I really wanted to like these but the fact that the topline is squared is a huge turn off. TM always used to round off their topline to make it look smaller, and even the picture of the "Protos" of these were rounded, no idea why the retail aren't :/

Just did a pretty thorough head to head with the 750 7 iron vs Bridgestone J15 7 iron, both bent to 33* with Nippon Modus 120x shaft. Results were nearly identical in terms of numbers with a slight edge to the J15 in ball speed (.3 MPH) and slight edge to the 750 in horizontal dispersion. Really it comes down to what you like looking at behind the ball and I much prefer the shape and size of the 750 over the J15. J15 is slightly more forgiving in the ball speed department on misses. Both feel solidly dense yet soft. I have a combo set of 4-6 in the 770 and 7-PW in the 750. I wish the 6 iron was a 750 as I agree with Kabir, the 770 topline is a little thick for my liking. I am willing to deal with it to get the added forgiveness of the 770 in the 4 & 5.

Getting used to my 750's

Couple of range sessions under my belt and one round.

Had a nice laser beam 6 iron today from 170 yards go in for a nice eagle.

Just wanted to mention it

played first round with them last weekend. Have 4-PW with Project X LZ 6.0 120g.

I was nervous because I had thought I ordered the 5.0 120g that Callaway Epic Pros offered when I demoed, but after 2 range sessions and 18 holes, I am thrilled with them.

They are super soft and workable, and I'm hitting 1 less club on everything relative to my 10 yr old X-20s.

How far do you usually carry your 7 iron? I usually find Project X a little stiff so I soft stepped the 6.0 once to help load the shaft. So far I can't really tell if the regular PX and the PX LZ share similar stiffness frequencies.

I keep hearing they are shorter but to me that is actually one of the most appealing parts. Not spring loaded faces or slots, just solid carbon steel. These aren't made for guys looking to hit it farther, they are for guys looking to score better. Just my opinion

Happy with the distances I get with the P750's, same as the blades I played before them and before them

I think part of that is due to the shorter length of the clubs. I believe the 750/770 irons are a quarter inch shorter than "standard" and their lofts are pretty weak compared to a lot of the irons out there. They're only about 1 degree stronger than the Apex Pro and the AP2 which are pretty weak by today's standards.

I played a stock set for a bit...

They was DEFINITELY shorter than my AP2 and MP15... Way shorter like a club shorter - it was the fact that the shaft didn't fit me but the difference was obvious not subtle.

They felt great though and look amazing. Wouldn't hesitate playing a set with S300 but the KBS FLT was a nightmare for me.

2024 Bag TBD

I just got my set, and my first experience on the course will be this weekend.. Any reason to think the distances will be tragically different from my previous clubs? Coming from MP59s with KBS tour (tip bending issues) to the P770 with x100 shafts (hoping no bending). I understand any input is speculation, but it will still help my confidence. Thanks!

If the 750 or 770s are shorter, it has to be either shaft, loft, or spin....

I'll never pay that much for Taylormade's just for the simple fact they come out with "new" irons every other week lol

Well you had your game improvement irons (M1 & M2) at the beginnng of the year, and your players irons (770 & 750) a few months later. And we are past the halfway point of the year.

So, like, no?

I've had mine for about 3 weeks, and I have 5 rounds with them.

How am I already seeing marks like this? Just bag chatter? Am I being careless when putting my clubs back into the bag? Is it from hitting small rocks hidden in the rough? Is this material just softer than the rest of the club? I feel like I take pretty good care of my stuff. If I'm not playing, I store my clubs inside so they aren't rattling around in my trunk.

It's normal, the softer material is very easy to dent. It's the same with any forged club, after a while and 100 dents later you'll forget about it.

These are not cast iron steel clubs. They will dent, chatter and have imperfections like any other forged club regardless of how perfect u are at taking care of them, even with iron covers. Nature of the beast. Surprised you don't have more to be completely honest.
