I'm not on the preorder list to get one, but I can tell you the second the reviews come in(if they are good), I will be ordering one.

 

I have the SC200 now, and think/hope the MEVO is a nice upgrade. BTW, the SC200 works pretty well for irons. Terrible for drivers, for obvious reasons.

Yeah as spin affects distance with a driver quite a bit, as well as launch(SC200 measure neither), driver distance just can't be good- unless you are lucky and individual ball conditions just happen to match whatever is programmed into the SC200.

Do you have to use ur phones camera set on a tripod or is video recorded from

Mevo device ? If so why is view on YouTube a side angle view? Wouldn't video be from behind since that's where the unit is?

You can take the video from any angle. You can probably strap your camera to a drone and as long as you maintain Bluetooth connection to the Mevo it will transmit the data.

pretty certain video is from your phone, you can see they have it set up on a stand in front of the golfer

I bought a tripod mount for my iPhone and will set it up above the mevo when I want to record my swing. I won't be recording my swing most of the time though.

 

My coach is going to love this though.

I hope everyone has stopped whining about the delays because, if this thing works well it looks pretty damn amazing. That app looks fantastic and this is literally what we've all been wanting for years. Another couple months won't kill you.

Pretty sure the videos of the Mevo has exceeded everyone's expectations thus far. Now that they are shipping alleviates a lot of doubts and reservations of the product. Videos were all very good in my opinion.

fyi if you are looking at just using an old iphone to use with this you will need at least a 4s at the oldest because the app needs iOS 9.0

I am interested in a "proxy" buyer from the us, who would ship the mevo to europe.

 

open fcc regulations (meaning a possible shipping to europe from june) plus a price of 615 euros compared to 500 usd brought me to this...

 

would be nice to hear from someone who would be willing to do this for a range rat.

Happy Mevo Report day haha. People in the southeast should get theirs today. Hopefully somebody hardcore will run to the range or their fitter. If it's within 5 yards on long shots and have very few miss reads it will be a win in my book.

I got shipping confirmation and mine should be here on Friday. I was just told that the Android app is buggy and was pulled from the store. It should be fixed "any day now" in tech talk that could be months. I am pretty upset about this.

Pretty sure the play store is easier (and probably) faster to get apps officially available for consumption, so shouldn't take too long. As someone in here posted a couple pages back, if you have an iPad it can be run in compatibility mode with iPhone apps.

What worries me is the functionality of it. Obviously they aren't concerned with the iOS version but there is something obviously wrong with the Android version.

It works on a modern iPad that supports BTLE. It runs in compatibility mode. It's actually useful because the numbers are displayed in a larger font which makes it easy when you're just dialing in distances.
