I just built an ap3 3iron and weaken it by 2 degrees to Lower the flight. Add the Tensei Pro White TX.

It’s anti left as it gets for me.

Had to add 4g of lead tape to bring it to d2

In your handi range and still carry a 2 iron even a 16.5* 1 iron at times, as opposed to a hybrid. After seriously looking, I tripped over Project X BLUE Tour Issue HD2 Hybrid-driving Iron Shaft / 6.0 Stiff tip, 92-gram graphite shaft, and it was rather inexpensive.

So far it feels mighty good and fly's laser straight. My only issue might be I am used to a heavier PX 6.0 shaft. :beach:

PS: Even though that PX DI shaft was smooth, at 92grams, it's too lightweight for my tempo. Now I am trying a KBS C-Taper Lite (110 grams) "S" and hoping for better feel. :)

Adams super LS

stupid long.... the feel isn't that great... can sound hollow if you mishit it

for some it hooks (like me)

if I can somehow fix my swing or the club so that it didn't hook on me when I need it the most... I would put it in as a fairway wood replacement

they also made it in 15*

Nickent used to make a 14 degree 1 hybrid called the "Ironwood" that could be worth checking out on Ebay.

I've got one and it's great.

I have one of these as well! 14° 3DX Genex and 15° Super LS - I guess I have a thing for low lofted hybrids!

So I'm on the kick now of hunting a hybrid to replace my 3 wood. The courses I play almost never require me to hit a 3 wood, but when I need to, the chance of hitting a good shot are slim to none. I've had a few in the past that I'd end up selling because I'd hit them almost as far as my 3 wood. Has anyone tried the cobra f8 or the rogue in 17°?

check out the Mizuno CLK hybrid. I have a 3 hybrid that is set to 19 degrees but can crank it down to 17 degrees. It has a real penetrating flight and is surprisingly long for me. I hit my driver around the same distances as you and this gaps perfectly between my 3 wood and 4 iron

They also offer it in a 16 degree 2 hybrid...

I’m the same mate I dropped the 3 wood and I play a 2 hybrid 17 degrees. Played the ping g and now the g400. Both have been great - tee shots, par 5s and chipping around the green. My course is on the long side and I haven’t missed the 3 wood. I regularly hit it past the other guys drivers!

Can't stand hybrids and those "lumpy" driving irons look ridiculous to me. Plus, they are designed to "get the ball up in the air" which is the last thing I need.

I have a Callaway RazrX forged 2 iron bent to 16º and a Tommy Armour "Heater" which is 14º. The Callaway is a nice forged club although the head is a little larger than a nice small blade. The Tommy Armour is part of those old 845s, but it has very little offset and a smaller head. You should be able to find one on ebay fairly easily. I have a tipped X100 in the Callaway and an Aldila Tour shaft something or other in the Tommy Armour. I do have enough swing speed to get these both in the air even off the turf.

Hope that helps someone.

Longest DI has to be the Srixon U65. Keep hearing it goes too long and bending it weaker, or getting a higher loft. The TM has a touch more ball speed, but with the problems had with cracking I'm not risking my $$ on them.

Longest hybrid is anything Adams or TEE. Ball speed and lower spin for the faster swing players. Though I've been looking at an Epic for more forgiveness out of the rough, and they still go plenty long

Totally agree with Adams and TEE but those are the only two I've ever used. Stupid long. I consistently out drive people's drivers. Hence why I don't carry one. I do have a TM TP UDI 2 iron and I'm starting to really like it too.

Don't have trackman or official numbers but the OG UDI is my 250 club. I have the same shaft as my irons in the club. Easy to hit high and low. Easy to elevate off the deck. I can't say anything bad about the TMag OG UDI. I use this club for 75% of my tee shots.

It could be as long as my 3 wood or as short as my 4 iron. Super forgiving. I can't complain. It's my go to club.

Just placed my order for a 16° CLK with the fujikura evolution HB 85x. That club is beautiful!!! Now for the wait!
