Schnee and DNice, good call on the pre-Kingdom WITB for people to see. I've got a pretty detailed thread here, and the last half has a lot more info about the club changes I've made over the last few months for those who may be interested. One of the reasons we are all so excited is that the guys at TaylorMade have made a point to tell us to bring our full, current bag as well as the ball we've been playing. They've got a lot of really great looking equipment out right now and I am really hoping we get to put EVERYTHING through their paces!

 

My current WITB:

 

SLDR 460 10.5* (UST Silver 6x)

M1 3HL (Aldila Rogue 70x)

SLDR 20* Hybrid (Diamana S+ 82x)

TaylorMade RSi TP 4-PW (KBS Tour)

Cleveland 588 RTX 51* and 56* (S300)

Vokey SM5 60* (M Grind)(WedgeFlex)

Directed Force Reno, 35" 70*

ProV1x/Snell MTB/KSig/B330

 

I'm happy enough with everything in my bag, but nothing is set in stone, and I do feel like there is room for improvement at each spot in the bag, with the exception of the 3HL. I'm certainly open to replacing any of the above if something comes along that legitimately performs better, regardless of brand. While I currently have a good bit of TM equipment in play, I would only describe myself as a TM homer when it comes to woods. I've always gotten along well with their drivers especially, but have previously gamed Mizuno irons for quite a while. I'm VERY curious about the P770 irons, and wouldn't be disappointed at all if I was fit into them or a combo set with the P750 in 8-PW or something :)

 

RobRey85 and I did an extensive ball test recently (http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/topic/1427294-ksig-vs-snell-mtb-vs-prov1x-vs-b330-vs-srixon-z-starxv/), and I feel like I'd be perfectly content playing any of the balls listed in my WITB. Officially I would list myself as a ProV1x guy, I'm just not thrilled with their durability or price, so I usually only put them in play for competitive rounds. All that said, the TP5x is getting a lot of talk around the water cooler, so it will be very interesting to see how it performs!

Interesting that Schnee and you both have an SLDR 460 and directed force putters in play.

 

I was thinking the exact same thing with the P770/P750 combo.

 

I play the B330S right now. Such a good ball for me (me thinks), so I'm interested to learn about the new TP5x.

Yes, we fly out tomorrow. The night HipCheck informed me, I was literally in bed with my eyes about to close and I hear my phone ding for a message. Thinking to myself who the #$%# is that at this time (like 9pm...lol)......needless to say, it was the best message evvvvvvvvar! I slept for maybe one hour that night.

I have not found a FW wood I could hit consistently enough to warrant a spot in the bag. I found these hybrids that I hit pretty well, so I turn the 17.5 down to its lowest loft setting and have much more confidence hitting it. What I lose in distance, I definitely gain in accuracy (most of the time). That said, I think a properly fitted 3 wood (length, shafts etc.) would be a great addition to the bag.

 

As for putter, I suck no matter what you put in my hands. Back when I was playing frequently (and well), I played a round at one of the harder courses here in VA - Royal New Kent. I played from the tips and hit every green in regulation - 18/18. Shot 73 because I couldn't make ANYTHING. Now that I am not playing often, it has only gotten worse. To say that I am hoping for a putter fitting is a major understatement.

I will say this as a TaylorMade ball user for several years, since TP Red days, the TP5 is a great ball. Got to test the Proto 5/Proto 5X in early December. Proto 5 was a TPX enhancement. Better in almost every way. Nothing huge but improvements. The Proto 5X was better than that! I will wait till spring to test between these balls more. But I could see myself playing the TP5 and being very happy.

I can't speak for Drew, but this East Coast guy already has plans for In-n-Out Burger at least a couple of times during the trip. I played minor league baseball in California for a few weeks back in the late 90s, and had those burgers and fries 4-5 times a week. Missed them ever since I left and can't wait to try them again.

Yes this will happen. Food pics are a guarantee. As BCU said, we already have plans to hit up In-N-Out. I know some west coast people will scoff but as an East-Coaster it's a must.

 

Drew has already expressed his interest in sampling the fine burgers that Southern California has to offer.

Wait until you hit M1 2017.....vast improvement over original fwy ....they moved slide slot further back to make easier to launch AND way more forgivi forgiving. ...added the speed slot like sldr and feel/sound component is vastly improved also.
