Derek Jeter banged every celeb, star, actress in site too but nobody criticizes him. In fact he's admired for it. What can't Kate Hudson do the same. Do you guys have a double standard?

 

I am all about the sexually liberated woman. Long overdue in my opinion. Should Kate run into a problem with double standards, she should come see me for consoling.

My first instinct is to say that it's none of your g*dd**ned business. But lets think about this for a minute.

 

When the time comes that she is an adult, I would hope that she is lucky enough to feel that fee and confident with herself and her body, and that hopefully I have taught her well enough to make good decisions regarding her own safety and what she is looking for in relationships.

 

Why would I feel any different about her "liberty" than I feel about my son's "liberty"? I know it's tough concept for a father to get over, but at some point she (and he for that matter) will be adults, out of my house, becoming sexually active human beings. There is nothing we can do about that. Now, I can suppress her maturity, and make her live in a restrictive repressive house hold. Maybe beat up all of her boyfriends, but this is backwards, outdated and male chauvinistic mentality in my opinion and would only serve to push her away from me. I know this firsthand.

 

So, the choice between those two scenarios isn't really much of a choice to me. Tough for a dad to get over these instincts but I think we will be the better for it. Thanks for asking.

Hes competitive, dont get me wrong, but hes basically the only guy out there that can date my avatar and she wouldnt be in it for the money. I would let that guy father my children.

So i watch the Masters pre-show and highlights this morning. There's interviews with basically everyone, analysis about most of the top guys and the type of stories it would be if they won. For like 30 seconds there's a clip with Adam Scott where he pretty forgettably is like (paraphrasing) "well i suppose i could win if things go well"

 

That was pretty much it. Our thread about Masters Sunday favorites i don't think even mentions his name.

 

This is a dude with 45M in earnings, 1 major, 1 players championship 10+ wins on both PGA tour and Euro tour, has dated a movie star and pro tennis player, and used an anchored putter so hideous that i think it single handedly got them banned

 

Despite all of this.....Nothing. Everyone would be fine with him winning, no one would hate on him for losing. No one accuses him of flipping clubs, killing bugs, getting upset at shots , being spoiled, breaking people's hearts blah blah etc.

 

He just exists in this expectation-less bliss that he has somehow stumbled upon.

Pretty true but this is probably a main reason why he is able to live such a stress-free life. You never see him on Instagram with his crew on a yacht. Boring is good if you just want to do your job and live a relatively normal life.

 

Not being from USA #1 probably helps also. Spieth is also boring, humble, and polite... but still gets hounded by the media quite a bit.

He's seems to be very well-balanced and measured in his life. He strikes me as a guy that understands his golf "is a way of life" for him, but not the entirety of life itself. Such an attitude takes away that razors edge to "cut" at yourself, others, the game, and be self-destructive.

 

I see a man very much at peace, with himself, his profession, and the world. This is a stark contrast to Sergio, that is, until perhaps yesterday; Sergio's presser post victory was revealing. He seemed more relieved than happy. And, he mentioned, to paraphrase, that 'he's still the same goofy guy', and that this would not change his life. Perhaps Sergio is starting to see things more clearly -- that is, golf alone does not define one's worth and life's accomplishment. Did not Duval discover the same after his life-long quest of winning his major?

 

I admire players that are humble and acknowledge how fortunate they are to be playing the tour and living the blessed life they enjoy. The tour is "a bubble world" and I can see how one could be seduced by it, allowing yourself to be become one of the entitled elite -- and there's no mask for that.

 

I believe super stardom in sports, entertainment is a highway to personal hell.

You were the one who brought up sexual "liberty", so it was only logical to see how devoted to the concept you were. Sorry your only rational for it is either celibacy through force and assault or promiscuity in which your daughters legs are spread for whomever wishes to climb between them. Kate Hudson, though I don't know her, her reputation is clearly the latter. She also represents the kind of behavior you applauded. Also, why would you encourage your son to bed every woman he sees? I'm not implying you treat the son any differently than the daughter. Perhaps living through the son and giving him a high five or a fist bump when he "scores" is accepted by some, but I'd hope most are more mature than that. Bravo for you if you aren't. . But, clearly not a golf conversation, so my apologies.

Adam Scott is one of my favorite golfers- I love the way he even-ness he carries himself with on the golf course. His composure after big mistakes gives you the impression that he can get it back if he sticks to his game plan and it something that I've tried to mirror in my own game. I think if you want to see some more fire on the course- he definitely isn't going to be on your list of favorites.
