These scam type listings are also a way to gather personal info.

 

 

They get your address, name, and if you have it on eBay/PayPal your phone number which they can sell to robocallers etc.

How so? It's a scam. You KNOW it's a scam.

Who in their right mind sends this person money? They get to keep your cash (presumably from someone else's hijacked account) and stay funded to use this same scheme the very next day to an unsuspecting person.

 

Would you send money to a "Nigerian Prince" if you knew you'd be refunded?

It is similar to the facebook posts where someone says they are giving away 25 RV's worth $100,000 (complete with beautiful picture) each because they are trying to reduce inventory to make room for the upcoming year model. Just "like" and "share". I see people fall for it every time, over and over. They just want to believe they can get a "dream " for nothing.

It would be great if a real deal m1 shows up from a pissed off ex-girlfriend or ex-wife. I wouldn't hold my breath, but good luck. My friends father bought a $70,000 sports car for $4,000 from a guy that refused to let his wife get half of it in their upcoming divorce. Ya never know.

Bought a pair of footjoy's from amazon, last month. Showed a US company selling them for a to good to be true price. 3 day's later showed shipped from China, needless to say they never arrived,had to wait till grace period was over for Amazon to refund my $. Which they did, 2 days after arrival deadline. Maybe you'll have better luck then I did.

look if he wants to be the guinea pig and try it to see what shows up, and go thru the process of a refund let him do it. if it is indeed fake, which we all know it to be, or doesn't show up then get his money back that's all I'm saying. if he gets an actual real deal product then kudos to him. He has a point - in this day and age people should be smarter.

A friend of mine jumped on this...I told him it's most likely fake. He thought it was just listed wrong. He got tracking info and it's coming from China. Now he admits it's prob fake, but he's gonna try it out when it comes.

Has he tracked the purchase recently?? A lot of times the tracking is fake and nothing shows up. Had something similar happen to me on Amazon. Bought something from a 3rd party seller that was 50% cheaper than other sellers , got a tracking number and nothing showed up

UPDATE: Last tracking shows it was out for delivery in Ba-bib-ville, WA. That was last Friday.

 

Problem is I am in New Jersey.
