Whats the biggest score difference between two rounds you've ever shot?

Same course about 5 days apart. Shot a 76 followed by a 95. The reason is pretty simple. Zero OB in the first round with an eagle in there and 7 OB in the next...

In a local two day open i shot 90 the first day and 70 the second day. Par 70. With a set of knock off ping g5 irons. Weird weekend.

83-73 last weekend, ,home track, same conditions, pins tricked up for the 73, go figure.

Well it wasn't actually me but one time a friend and I played 36 in one day. During the first 18 he shot a 97. Then we had lunch and played another 18 and he shot a 79. His cap at the time was about 12. Damndest thing I've ever seen.

My biggest gap in recent memory has to be this week.

 

Thursday I shot 95+. Quit keeping proper score after blowing up 15. Played the par fives: +3 (OB), +2, +2, and X(OB and H2O). Just a mess.

 

Shot 81 this morning. Played 8 hole stretch from 9-16 at +1(6 par, 2 bogey, 1 birdie). Silly game.

Well, it happened again last week. 87 at TPC Tampa and 106 at The Club Renaissance.

 

Hit all but 2 fairways with my driver at TPC, didn't hit two fairways all day at the Club... FML

I shot a 73 before the Men's City Championship this year—with a torn ligament in my right wrist.

 

Three days later, I followed that performance with an 87 in the opening round of the Championship.

 

Wrist had healed a little bit, and I completely lost my feels through impact. Blew my chances at making the cut, too.

Shot a 67 once and then my scores went up to the 80's until I settled down!!!!

My first NCAA tournament The Cougar Invitational at Columbus Country Club in Columbus GA. 87-70-70. The three days we we there it rained the whole time, and we played five holes then stopped play another 5 then stopped again. It wouldn't have been so bad had I not said to the team, "it's a par 70 guys this will really help our scoring averages!" The only consolation was the fact that 70 was the low round of the event that particular year.

17 strokes difference - PIayed both rounds on the same day a couple of weeks ago.

 

Idiot friend of mine got a Tee time for 7 a.m. and it was still freaking dark as midnight. Starter held everyone up until we could see, a little.

Lost 2 balls on the first hole. No idea where they went and I was PO'd. Never could recover on the front 9, terrible with a 54. Back 9 was a 43. for total of 97. grrrrr

 

Felt better after the back 9, and I was not going home with a 97 nagging at me. so me and another guy played another 18. Shot 38 on the front and 42 on the back for a 80.

82 Friday then 96 tournament round Saturday (just last week). Friday, great fall day with a front moving in late Friday. Saturday had 40 degrees with a 30 mph north wind...tough conditions.

Played day one of the county open in driving rain.. I wear glasses, and if you do as well, you understand. I lost the handle on clubs and sent them down range a few times. Suddenly stopped raining as we were walking off 17 green. Day 2 was dry, but the 84 was too little too late.

 

That was the worst that I can remember, but there have been swings of 10 shots plus or minus several times over the years, in good weather. Just happens.

Not different rounds but I had a humbling experience at the Judge on the Robert Trent Jones golf trail. 33-46 on the two nines. That course is TOUGH from the purple

69-91 Saturday/Sunday. The 91 had an eagle in there to! By the time I was halfway through the back on Sunday I wasn't even mad anymore, I was just having a good laugh. Hey man, it's golf...it's a stupid game.

Played 36 holes on Saturday in Mesquite. 78 on Conestoga (AM round) 87 on Wolf Creek (PM round). Wind was >15mph on Wolf Creek, it was a 5.5 hour round with lots of waiting. I have an entire pocket in my golf bag dedicated to my excuses. :help:

Can’t remember mine right off hand, but my buddy played in his club championship 4 weeks back. He shot 67/83. I was shocked, but not as much as him!

Back in 1986 on my home course at the time, I shot a career-best 65 one day, then followed it up the very next day with an 82...yup, same course. Go figure!

Against everybodys concerns, I shot 84 - 72 two weeks after I broke my collarbone. Its amazing what can happen when you only swing 75% for an entire round.

18 hole 73, 86.

 

9 hole is my favorite, i have shot 36, 43 NINE TIMES at the same par 72 track over the past 5 years. i play this course regularly. the back is not that hard.
