Next Apex Irons Release

Recommended Posts

I was told to expect the Jailbreak technology in the new driver! MD4 were pushed back to 2018 as well so could be quite a bit to show off next month!

Yeah, jailbreak is in the new driver/woods. My contacts in the tour dept hadn't even seen any MD4 prototypes which are usually floating around by now, but said they will most likely see something next month as well.

I was talking to a few guys and was saying... they are going to have to do something big for people to change from the epic.

Interested in the jailbreak in the woods though..

Is this a hint that the next Apex irons release really is delayed until 2018?

https://Not allowed because of spam.co...the-apex-black/

No hint needed. It's been known for a couple months now that new Apex line won't be launched until 2018. Most likely Q2ish...

Had a good conversation with my Callaway rep and they'll get a look at whatever the new Apex replacement will be next month. Excited to get a look after he returns and he expects a February release.

I also heard the same. I am surprised that we have not seen any tour guys playing with the new Apex Pro replacement. I would have to imagine that the MB will be released next Feb. You also have to think that their will be a new driver released as well.

My Callaway rep still says the MBs will be released in October. Will probably know for sure after sales meetings. He also said there are way too many sets out there, including equipment sites, for them to be a February release.

could start with a decent custom department (ordering drivers at shorter length and getting proper SWing)

better quality control

and of course, less draw bias

that might get me interested in next line.

Swing weights will be easy to achieve across the entire next line of Driver and woods. Just like it is easy to get proper swing weight in the Sub Zero because of the changeable weights *wink*wink*! I have seen them in person, so it's not just hear say.

New Apex irons will be out early in 2018. PGA Show time.

Expect to see Apex MB's next month as well as a new forged cavity back iron. Those who loved the X Forged from 2013 will be pretty excited when they see what's coming. Initially was supposed to be Japan only, but they decided to release here as well.

New Epic line coming too. Very lightweight models geared toward the Sr & slower swing speed crowd. Callaway's answer to the XXIO stuff.

Thanks. What is the pre-order date of the new Apex irons (cf 18 and pro 18?)? I think I will be among the first to order....

Saw and hit the new MBs, X Forged, and X Forged UT lat week.

Very clean lineup.

MB is the same one seen in tour players bags this spring.

X Forged iron is super clean and really soft feels great.

The UT long irons are great as well for that player that wants something off the tee instead of a hybrid, that is workable but still has some forgiveness.

One note of disappointment to expand on previous post. MB's will only be available in chrome. No raw finish available through the retail market.

Is this coming with in the rumored October release?? Are there pics anywhere of the X Forged irons or UT irons?

I was told October release but have also heard that may be for Callaway Staffers and Retail will be November 1. I haven't seen any pictures surface and unfortunately I couldn't snap any with the rep standing right next to me.

All good - very much appreciate the info/feedback. Hoping I like the look of the X Forged irons - probably will pull the trigger on these before the end of the year.

Are you going with a combo setup or just X Forged straight through the bag?

I'll combo the MB's PW-6 or 7 and x forged 4, 5 and maybe 6. Also will do an 18 X Forged UT with a graphite or steefiber shaft

I thought Apex 14 iron was a replacement of 13 X forged. Right? If so, what is the difference between the new X forged irons and the upcoming new Apex 18 irons? Is one targeting better players and the other targeting the rest of us? The lineup becomes a bit confusing I find...

New X Forged is very similar to '13 x forged in styling and construction

I can't speak to the difference in this and the new Apex irons as I haven't seen any of the Apex 18 CF or Forged yet. But the major difference between this and the Apex 16 Forged is the new X forged is more of a solid one piece construction vs a forged head with extra badges attached

I heard the new forged iron is somewhat chunkier like the stenson legacy's or diablo edge forged? It made sense to me because how different could a new x-forged iron be from the Apex Pro?

It looked pretty good to me. Blends very nicely with the MB's. Topline and sole just slightly thicker than the MB's. Much cleaner and more apealing to me than the Apex Forged. Considerably better than the diablo forged or legacy irons.

Did they give you any idea of how they are claiming it's appeal and differences from the Apex line? I just don't know their angle.

No but I can say my firsthand impression that the appeal is its a solid singe piece forged club (think Titleist CB) insted of multi construction piece (think Apex Forged or Titleist AP2)

You make a valid point by Titleist standards. I'm very interested to see these! Finally replaced my '13 X-Forged this season but sometimes miss them just enough to want to try these when they come out! Thanks
