Afternoon wave will be 5 shots higher which is the one thing that I hate about this tournament

Yep, they should dial the simulator to same settings for everybody.

For some reason I do not mind the changing conditions for players.

Umm,. I'm pretty sure the afternoon guys were able to take advantage of the morning yesterday.

Yeh but its the same players who have the best conditions on both days.....yest aft and this morning. Just the way it goes.

Still pretty tough there at the moment, and yesterday there wasn't a very big difference from late morning and afternoon. Early morning was the toughest.

it evens out over the course of the 4 days....

I wish that were true, but it's not.

yea i agree - sorry, but if you get the sh*t end of the draw, you might not even be around for 4 days.

They mix it up to keep it fair. In MY OPINION, it all evens out for the guys who make it through 4 days.

damn weather, maybe they should play in a bubble?

its good to see players having to play different conditions and really test their games. The weather will be fine tomorrow, so if you are within maybe 6 of the lead tonight you may have a chance tomorrow

The spectators are brave man, Rory was hitting out of fescue like 3 feet high and they were lined up in a tunnel pretty much right off his intended line. I mean who knows where that ball's going coming out of that stuff

Not trying to be picky, but they don't mix it up at all. The first two days tee times are determined a few days in advance without any consideration for the weather. So a player could very easily get the worst weather on BOTH days, or the best weather on BOTH days.

Then the final two days the tee times are determined by standings, so once again a player could get the worst or best weather on both days. The weather forecast has no influence on tee times.

So I'm not sure what you mean by "they mix it up to keep it fair".

I was watching that and thinking the same thing. I would not have been standing that close.

It absolutely does not even out over four days. You could argue that it evens out over a season, but it absolutely does not necessarily even out over four days. Some tourneys you get the worst draw all four days. That is just the nature of weather. There isn't much they can do about that.

that's why they do it in advance, so nobody can claim bias.....that's what i mean by that......if you guys can predict the weather over there at any given moment, kudos to you. Lets get back on point. Nobody has data to support any of these positions, including me. its just an opinion

Nobody has claimed bias.

What they are saying is that some players can get far worse weather than other players, which is absolutely true and has happened over and over in this tournament over the years. It does not even out.

The guys who draw thursday afternoon and friday morning might end up playing in the same conditions (at any tourney not the Open.)

For example, rain on Thursday afternoon has a better chance of going into Friday morning, than rain thursday morning, clearly up, and then rain again on Friday afternoon (but it can happen)
