What's with Johnny Miller? Did he have to say the course was set up REALLY easy. A 62 is a 62.

 

Was he wrong?

If you compare green conditions are todays not better than 40 years ago?

Im the last person in the world to defend Miller but a 62 is not a 62 as you suggest in your anger about what he said. There are various things that make scores unique.

I shot a 62 once on Wii golf. It was a par 72.

I shot 62 at pebble beach 3 years ago........on the front 9

Errm??? Its not...believe me it's friggin hard to us! It's an easier day and they don't trip up the course. The scoring is good because these are the best players in the world, which is the point of this championship

 

Lol, it's one of the harder courses in England. It's just the weather conditions, no wind, sun and torrential rain, can't ask for much easier on a links course. Sure look at the mayhem yesterday.

Ha ha...easy for these guys maybe but God knows what we would hack round in.

Played 36 in a junior tournament back in 91.....it was a very tough day, off 4 and shot 93!!! Recovered for an 80 next round....I remember it because I actually won a prize as only 5 of us didn't NR in the first round ha ha

Played it a number of times as I only live 10 miles away...just glad the weather is good so the kids can play outside and leave me to the golf. They did my head in yesterday! But I've never done well at Birkdale, in truth it's destroyed me each time
