I bought my Submariner over 25 years ago and I never wanted one until a co-worker told me to try his on. I was hooked. My Rollie has been on my wrist every day, everywhere with many, many adventures as well. Not just a watch. A familiar friend.

I bought the watch when I had real money and it was really just some little thing to buy to treat myself.A few years later I kept it when it was the only thing of value I had left, something I felt I no longer deserved, to remind me that we all can be resurrected personally and financially. Now, back in the black, my wife now adorns her new Rolex.

Like @Steelhead my sub date is a daily must have. I just love that classic black on stainless. Can wear it with a suit or a t-shirt and shorts.
But I’d probably be willing to part with it for half of what Jack’s guy paid, so if you thinking Jack’s guy got a good deal, mine is an absolute steal!! ? I’ll even provide documentation that some guy on the internet named Banker indeed wore this watch while club ho’ing over and over for no good reason on WRX....

I know he was given the gold Day-Date during the Canada Cup in Tokyo.

Bro, his most amazing stories were of how he was treated by everyone from the locker room staffs at the Tour venues to the other Players, especially Palmer’s peers, when he first hit the Tour, and also the Tour official themselves, including rules officials, regarding matters that were not black/white, though grey areas. Where Jack was concerned, they were black??‍♂️
