*UPDATE in OP* Buyer ( markjinc ) Saying He Didn't Buy My Putter But He's Selling It On BST

OP posted a screenshot of his message telling the guy about this thread, which the guy responded to: http://www.golfwrx.c...0#entry16219684

IMO, his username in the title would get his attention more, get other members to come read this thread, and hopefully help others in the future if they searched for him.

Sorry you are going through this... you are one of the good guys on here. I have had this dude blocked for a long time... would be nice if they could add a feature to not only show the cute stars by our feedback but a hyperlink to negative feedback as well. This needs to be addressed or guys like him will continue to do this. To add to that, if someone gets 5 warranted negative feedbacks they should be gone for good.

My account is still being held hostage by PayPal. I've asked the buyer to put a bit more pressure on them.

Don't bother with the buyer, my buyer claimed to be doing the same and he either didn't or it didn't matter. Go directly to PayPal. Call them, send them the tracking showing delivery and the feedback received. Ask them what else you might need to provide to prove your situation. Just be cool, level headed and polite and it usually goes a long way with them.

Gonna quote myself here as that's all that needs to be done. Once you speak with PayPal and explain things you should be in the clear.

Not trying to go against the pitchfork carrying crowd (I've had my own experience with said member in question) but I'm not sure what he can do once this has happened, it's between PayPal and the bank/credit card company. Respond to the dispute as required, and politely and calmly speak to PayPal as to what the situation is. In my case they released the money within 24 hours or so. I know it's a pain to take your own time to defend yourself for something you did correctly, but if you want your money it's in your best interest to put in the effort.

Sorry if it felt like I was piling on, just trying to give my input. My case was in the same spot, it's simply part of their process. It wasn't until I got on the phone and spoke with a representative that my money was released. Until your case gets reviewed by a representative, and if I remember correctly that might have been stated as up to 30 days, your money is frozen. In my case speaking with the rep expedited the process and the money was back in my account shortly thereafter. Good luck, it's a P.I.T.A. for sure.

Not piling on. I have contacted PayPal and they are still reviewing my case. They say they have all the info they need for now.

Is this seriously still a topic of conversation here? Like a bunch of high school girls. The buyer himself has said this was an honest mistake - there is nothing I can do. Has nobody here ever had their credit card stolen? I reported my card stolen and my CC company reversed payment on the transactions - over $7K worth. PayPal froze my account too. I informed my CC that the PayPal purchase was in fact legitimate and they reversed that charge. Paypal reinstated my account. End of story. It sucks that the seller still has his account frozen but there's nothing I can do. I've called PayPal and informed them that the charge was legitimate. They told me that my CC company - THAT I HAVE HAVE ABSOLUTELY ZERO CONTROL OVER - needs to inform them. I called my CC and they said they notify merchants in a timely manner. THIS IS COMPLETELY OUT OF MY HANDS. If I really did something shady, PayPal would'n't have reinstated my account. Also, you losers who want to complain about my feedback should understand that there are 2 sides to every story and 2 of the 5 negatives left - those buyers HAVE ACTUALLY BOUGHT FROM ME AGAIN after realizing the error in judgement lay on them and couldn't retract the already negative feedback. It's amazing how quickly we want to tell people of a bad experience without really waiting for the dust to settle. I will not be commenting on this thread again and can give 2 fuc%s what any of you think. This is between me and the seller (who I feel bad for) and have done all I can up to this point.

What does the red "unregistered" mean under Markjinc's avatar photo?

Does that mean he left the forum?

I believe so. I think its the equivalent of "you can't fire me, I quit"

lol. Good one bud. Petulantly insulting a bunch of strangers is definitely the way to get folks to warm up to your side of the story.

Just thinking out loud here, since the person who bought the putter from Markjinc and the OP in contact can the new buyer file a dispute against Markjinc for selling stolen goods then use the returned funds to pay the OP for the putter? In the end the OP gets made whole and the final buyer gets the putter he wanted?

OK, big shot. I enjoyed in the other thread, passively bragging about losing $2,600 in a match not being a big deal, but he won't take care of a seller that he screwed over, inadvertently or not?

Mark, you had your credit card stolen. You.

You failed to update PayPal. You.

Your credit card company is causing funds to be withheld. You.

Get off of your high horse and do the right thing. PayPal the seller his money and YOU figure out the problem, without the seller's money being held hostage. The problem isn't that your credit card was stolen, if it even was. The problem was caused by your mistakes. I believe the word is accountability.

Just got off the phone with PayPal. For some reason, the buyers' bank has not closed the dispute with PayPal. Either they're dragging their feet or they don't know. I'm going to message the buyer to contact them again. The PayPal rep said it could take up to another 85 days to clear up, and no guarantee in my favor. This really sucks.

Exactly. Simply put, the seller has neither putter nor money. And yet, according the the buyer, that's the fault of everyone/everything except the buyer. Buyer can make the seller whole by paypalling the money he owes right now--he says his account is unfrozen after all--and yet, according to the buyer this is something that he has "ABSOLUTELY ZERO CONTROL OVER" and "IS COMPLETELY OUT OF MY HANDS."

Totally unsurprising the buyer's bank is looking at this one closely. It's not "for some reason." It's almost certainly because the buyer has a history of using credit card chargebacks to job people over.

The buyer owes you either money or a putter. The buyer. Not paypal, not the bank, not the credit card company. Today, not tomorrow, not 85 days from now. He could paypal you today but he's choosing not to.

That guy will sure be missed. Sorry you're stuck dealing with him, OP. Hopefully him taking his ball and going home because people are calling him names doesn't affect you getting made whole. What a low life.

Crazy coincidence?

Another banned member, NGM611, known for taking money from other members, was the last person to comment on Markjinc's BST post for this putter, I find this so odd. Maybe the two are linked...

He has the putter for sale on a Facebook club trader page, if I am not mistaken

9d5caf9b999f86d817f1c7b6e9d2b608.jpg

Hello all, I feel like i need to be invloved in this forum to explain something. The photo above is a screenshot of my post to sell the Buttonback. I just learned of the non payment issue when folks were accusing me of selling a stolen putter. I am not Mark, nor did I purchase this putter thru WRX. I did get this putter from Mark (legally) and he was fine to deal with throughout the process. I would like to think that his story is true and that he will make right on his payment. When i first learned of the issue I contacted Skhacker to see what I could do to help make his situation right. He explained that i would not need to be involved and that hopefully a resolution would come soon. I feel bad for all parties involved, especially this beautiful putter. Good Luck!
