Heard this before and to me this is always the dumbest "supporting argument". Its a major. The "best players" make up 98% of the field. To imply that it was a fair test because some of the worlds best players were at the top of the leadeboard is...idiotic. OWGR Top 10, Speith, Rahm, McIlroy, Day - all missed. You could randomly scramble the entries to the US Open and end up with "some of the best players in the world" at the top of the leaderboard.

I agree, it's not the best argument.

 

It has a better list of winners than the PGA tournament, IMO. But similar to Masters. For every Danny Willett, there's a Lucas Glover. Most tournaments, including the US Open, are won by the best golfers in the world.

Do any of you use a standing desk? I'm flirting with the idea since I work from home in a space that I otherwise use all the time. So in addition to sitting for 8-10 hours for work, I'm also sitting there another few hours in both sides of that.

 

I bought a $25 cardboard stand off Amazon, which is kind of nice. But I can only fit one computer on it, while I'm regularly using 2-4 at a time. To make it work, I'll have to go all in and spend a few hundred dollars. I'm worried it will just be a fad I take part in then I'll have a useless $400 piece of junk.

edit - the one I have cranks up and down, so theoretically if you hate the standing desk you could make it a regular sitting desk.

We have a bunch of people here who use them. A lot of them have the Varidesk, cheaper kinds - I think those are in the ~ $500 range. The other option is the bigger furniture sized option where they whole desk moves up and down. Varidesk gets really good reviews though.

BlueMash is in great shape right now - much better than Waverly. Torrential downpour as I was coming off of 9, lasted about 20-30 minutes before I went back out. Course was pretty busy for a weekday morning/afternoon.

 

Edit - for Thursday...can someone just tell me what tees I should be using. Sounds like a lot of thinking. I don't want to hurt my brain.

 

Im bringing 3 differnt color sharpies. Makes it super easy to keep track of tee usage throughout the day.
