CJ1 -- Never read the Faldo book. I usually don't like to hear golf pro's talk about the swing (or sometimes even strategy).

 

CJ2 -- I try to keep it a little polite when it comes to gender talk around here, but I'm telling you. . .I've been doing yoga for about 18 months now on a college campus. "Yoga Pants" is not an instagram hashtag to me. There's no gif you could post that would out-yoga pant the reality I'm living twice a week unless it had smell-o-vision.

The love is real when it comes to yoga pants. The after work crowd near me in Capitol Hill is ridiculous. So many boutique gyms around and so many people walking around with their yoga mats in tow.

 

Add in a college campus and you're working out with some sillies! Hope you're doing some Bikram/Hot yoga, too.

I do not have a current handicap. Only have 4 rounds this year and last two years, I’ve only played 2 scrambles each summer.

Anybody on here ever play the Father/Son tournament in MB. Doing this in July. Don't know what to expect but it looks like fun. 18 hole scramble, 18 hole shamble and then a alternate shot the last day. 800 golfers on 6 courses.

Duly noted. If you make a birdie on a red tee hole the first time you probably want to use a red tee on a hole you doubled from the tips the next time around. This is going to take a lot of thinking lol!

Birdie is a good strategy, but not all there is to it. Based on Domes' post of scores earlier, here's the gross stroke average per hole last year. Birdie on 5 is average. Birdie on 9 gets you 2 strokes on the field.

BlueMash is in great shape right now - much better than Waverly. Torrential downpour as I was coming off of 9, lasted about 20-30 minutes before I went back out. Course was pretty busy for a weekday morning/afternoon.

 

Edit - for Thursday...can someone just tell me what tees I should be using. Sounds like a lot of thinking. I don't want to hurt my brain.

Got out for league night shot a 45, shot first 4 holes par then long par 4 I hit a great drive just through fairway, still 210 out with a pond in front of green so figure I'll lay up and be good to go from 100 till I sallyed it and just cleared the pond and ended up with a 7 then lost a ball on 8 damn deep rough and it was barely in the rough I thought then bogeyed out,if I could just shave off a few bad shots the handi should start dropping.

Yeah, coming in from the center of DC and playing in the earliest time. Planning to leave the house around 5:00a at the latest. Will make some food tonight to be ready to go in the morning, no way I can play that first round on coffee and a donut.
