KKDC XT vs Pro Orange Tour and Synergy Proto - which has the tightest dispersion?

That depends on what balance point you feel comfortable with and how you deliver the head. Dispersion on shafts of this quality, is most determined by quality of strike and path. For example pro orange is counterbanced. The others are not.

How does this shaft compare to the Hzdrus Black?

better feel (smoother overall from grip-tip, but firmer feedback if that makes sense), more stable, lower spinning, and a bit lower launching. just my opinion.

With that said, any ideas if there will be a Hybrid release? Looking at the HZRDUS black 105g for a driving iron but am always looking to kill more spin. Great feedback so far.

I was told there isn't a play for a Synergy Black hybrid release but who knows. If the other profiles do well at retail I wouldn't be surprised to see it happen. As for hybrids, I agree with Gio, Tensei pro white is A#1 choice.

Veylix Rome 988 is king my friend. No hybrid shaft beats it for me ;)

I'd agree with that. I hit it slightly higher than Hzrdus Black, but definitely lower spin.

Sorry! Posted in that thread as I didn’t see it. Still excited to get my Synergy... to get the thread back on topic after I changed subjects.

No worries. I did just get work yesterday that we will have another 40 of the 70tx black coming. Very unexpected, but something we are excited to be able to provide.

Sorry if I missed this but is what is the bend profile of this shaft? Does it share loading characteristics with anything else?

This one is the Tour only black profile. As has been said, smooth feel but VERY tip stiff. Think something like Tensei Pro White in terms of feel and balance with even less spin.

@Gioguy21 The driving iron is a frankenstein club i built out of spare parts and the V2 was sitting there. I didn't want to dissemble my Rome 988 until i decided if i like a driving iron or wanted to stay with a hybrid which it was in. I do like the driving iron so I will probably build one up with a Rome 988 if i can get one on the heavier side as 90g is a little light in the head.

Hitting the 988 is almost like cheating the game it’s a pretty predictable shaft and it’s pretty much point and shoot. I’m with J13 the 988 is King of Hybrid Shafts.

I hit either that or an 888? I don't remember honestly. It was years back. Very stiff feeling. A lot like a Project X iron shaft.

888 feel is pretty good, 988 feels great. They aren't as smooth as my KK DC XT but not far from it. You should really add the 688 or 788 and Xphlexxx Agera to your upcoming shaft test. I know we spoke about it last year.

It's definitely a possibility when the need arises to do another test. We can't obviously include everything just from a time and resource perspective, but one extra model wouldn't hurt. Maybe some Veylix of the weight we test.

Anyway back on topic. Joe says the 60tx have arrived so we will inventory and begin shipping when we get back on Monday. Shafts should begin to ship Tuesday.

Anyone who hit both Pro Orange 70 TX and the Pro Orange 60 TX and compared spin and feel of the shaft ? I thinking of buying the 60 TX but I am worried it will feel to lose compared to the 70 TX (SS 130 +). Any thoughts? especelly from high swingspeed players.

If I go for the 60 TX it will be 1.5 inch tipped.

I play 60tx tipped 1 inch at 125mph. For me it's perfect. For reference, I have a swing to parallel, a deep hinge, and very late release.

I finally got around to putting a tip and grip on my Synergy 75TX yesterday. put it in a 10.5* M4 , shaft playing at 44.5" SW@ D4, tipped 1/2"

took it out to the course today and put it in play. murdered it, what a smooth feeling shaft great, long penetrating ball flight, got some great roll out.

couldn't be happier. i believe i,ve found a keeper. i'll update with some numbers from my GC when i get time to take it to the range.

but definitely the real deal.

Thanks Toll.

Shaft sounds like a winner.....just gotta wait now for it to be a non-winner for someone so I can get my hands on one.

There's a few available via Toll if you're interested! Preorder for the 75 and I believe still a few pieces of the 60 left.

Titleist TSR2 - TPT Nitro 16lo
Taylormade SIM Ti 3w - Tensei 1k Black 85tx
Taylormade SIM Ti 5w - Fujikura Ventus Black 9x

Cobra Tec Hybrid 2 - Kai'li 90tx

Cobra Tec Hybrid 4 - Aldila Tour Black 105tx
Srixon ZX5/ZX& Mkii 5-PW - Project X 6.5

Callaway Jaws Raw 50s, 54s, 58z - BGT ZNE 130

Putter - LAB something or another

If he still has them I might have to bite the bullet. Its a definite bullet in Canada here though when our dollar is 30% more right now. Makes everything pricey!

The shaft does sound awesome though, crazy low spin in a feel good package.

It dont feel lose when you go for it to or get a tendency to go left ?

I bought the Tensei Orange V2 of you for a while but sold it, kind a miss that shaft now, but it was a little soft, but the best feeling shaft I ever tried..

That's been the general consensus. For those who are spinning everything too much, it's the holy Grail of spin cutters.

Been playing with my Synergy 70TX (tipped 1 inch) and Epon 105 combo some more. This thing hits absolute bombs. It's not as straight (for me) as the Mitsubishi Kuro Kage, Diamana X or Ahina, but it's longer. Wind doesn't have much effect at all and the ball rolls a long ways (due to low spin). Ball flight is weird. It can be bloody high or pretty penetrating. I guess it's workable. I'm following my own Drive 400 program again and my swing speed is going up pretty fast and I can feel the shaft kicking more now. Last month I don't think I was loading the shaft well enough to reap the benefits. Now I am for sure. It's extremely smooth feeling, almost rubbery, in a good way. Definitely worth checking out. Among the best out there.

Guys seem to really love it. The general comments I get are "only thing I've ever been able to get near 2000rpm with", " longest drives I've ever hit", "ball hits the ground running".

Finally got my 70tx out on the course today. Mine was tipped 2” after talking to TollBros and to be honest I thought it felt supper loose.... then I hit the ball and just smashed it, all day. I have never hit a ball so consistently hard. Shortest ball all day on course was 328 with a long of 356.

I was seriously worried that the shaft was either weak, wasn’t tipped correctly, or was not going to work for me with the “waggle test”. Man I couldn’t have been more wrong. I’m hoping with a bit more time I’ll just hit it better but for having never swung the shaft before it was a fantastic day.

My thoughts exactly. Feels almost loose (waggle test). It's not boardy from the middle to the tip like most Mitsubishi shafts, which I'm actually a fan of because I do find Mitsubishi shafts to be extremely straight. However, it doesn't need to be because it's still a very straight shaft and is probably the longest shaft I've hit. The ball just seems to explode and hang forever and roll forever. Very interesting shaft.
