My favorite putter of all time that I am using is the Inovai 3.0 - 35”, 68.25 degrees lie angle, and 2.25 degrees of loft. The putter comes factory with a 1/8 toe hang equivelating to 11.25 degrees of toe hang which is perfect for those switching back from face balance to a little toe hang. I have had in the past QB 6 thru QB8, 2011 BB1, BB53 counterbalance, Prototype SS15, and a 2010 BB8. The only past putter that comes close to Inovai 3.0 is the QB6 is terms of comfort on the greens.

 

With that said my platform would be the https://bettinardi.com/hive-archive/tour-dass-minovai/ and I would change the plumbers neck to a flow neck themed after the tribal Tiki turtle on the sole symbolizing long life, strength, and stability, and good luck entering the New Year. The decorative and intricate milling on the face would incorporates sharks teeth, spears, and ocean waves, putting you at ease on the greens thinking about the laid-back Hawaiian life style. I would definitely customize a BB2 style Bettinardi.

 

Customization:

 

- Double Aged Stainless Steel

- Probably the FIT face for a soft feel (possibly hexagon or "hexperimental" face milling patter

- extremely thin topline (1/16 inch at most)

- Blank sole

- very flexible shaft

- Some kind of media blast finish

- 33 inches in length

- 1 degree flat

- 3 or 4 degrees of loft

- 320 gram head

- Interested in seeing stamping options for the face, hosel and "nose" of the putter!

I would go with the BB39 Bee kool tour proto.

 

I would remove the current hosel setup and have it center shafted with an onset shaft. It would have 1.5 - 2 degrees of forward shaft lean at a 66* lie angle. The loft would be 2 degrees.

 

I would have the sole stamped with my daughters middle names Grace and Faith. I would have my logo stamped on the face at the heel.

Like a few have said I'd let the lab decide what head and neck style fit my stroke the best but to my eye I love the short plumber neck on the big square lines of the queen bee #6

 

I love raw and oxide finishes, disappearing/sporadic honeycomb on the back of the putter (behind cavity above bumpers) and utilize that unique hex sight mark on the top line, sight line in the cavity as well if not too busy. For the sole, Stinger and hand stamped flight marks with a hex B logo keeping the sole simple but no question it's a custom bettinardi. In the cavity hand stamped bettinardi or their spin on the classic "ping style" branding in the cavity with their location etc like the old ping anser from way back when. Top her off with a grip master leather grip and I'm dying a happy man please pick me!

I’d customize it with a Bettinardi neck stamp with bumpers stamped PMP and 619 for my baby girl, initials and month/day of birth.

 

Id prefer the neck to match the finish of the rest of the head but with a keeper piece like this it might be nice to have some additional wow factor.

 

neck style would depend on what they recommend for my stroke but I like the look of a long plumbers neck. would do a sight dot instead of line

In the cavity a Hex B followed by tour, or Bettinardi with the Tinley Park address and the patent number.

I’d leave the sole alone just alternating between the kool-aid face and the stinger.

On the bumpers I’d stamp “NANANANA” in ode to Chevy Chase in Caddyshack

And either fly mill or Fit Face

I'm still playing my BB8 from 2013 in the oil can finish.

 

 

For a new one, the BB8 in tri-plane with a blacked out finish and a pop of lime green on the bumpers with my daughter's birthday and initials. Of course it would need a black carbon fiber putter shaft as well...just saying.

Sole: Hex pattern with DASS, BB0, Kool Aid, stinger bee, and Zombie

 

DASS Queen Bee 6 with welded flowneck, site dot, two tone Blue Flame Finish (with the neck is flamed darker), 355-360g. Hex milling on the bumper with DASS or Stinger bee on the bumper, Kool Aid guy on extreme toe, Old school RJB in cavity, Hex B bomb on face. Bettinardi signature on the sole.
