Nike Roshe G?!?

The cool grey/volt colorway was supposed to drop 3/1...nothing yet...anyone heard anything about them? I'm waiting on those!

Whoops, it's 5/1 according to this one, not 3/1. Guess that's why i'm still waiting!

Got the black/white on offer at £23 ($32) and they are just about worth that at a push. If you pay anywhere near list price then, in my opinion, you’re daft

 

If they didn’t have the swoosh on it they would be selling at half that price. Lightweight yes, but cheap and (nearly) nasty

Wore the Roshe G to an indoor range today. Lightweight as I thought, bit stiff on the heel tab which I could feel.

 

Stood up well and no issues with the raised balls on the sole, didn’t notice them at all.

 

Still don’t think they are worth the £60 list price though

I'm just giving my anecdotal evidence as to the Roshes being difficult on ankles. I have seen a captain for the UGA national championship football team roll his ankles in them in high school. Our softball players have had difficulties going through proper weight transfer with them on during hitting lessons.

 

Can you play in them? Absolutely. However, I wouldn't feel comfortable playing a round in any of my Roshe shoes as they are built presently. A few people have mentioned a reinforced heel cap and a stronger mesh design that helps keep the foot locked down and that is going to be enough stability for most everyone.

 

The issue with the shoe version is that the height of the midsole married with the mesh/flyknit/hyperfuse or whatever model you have puts your feet at a higher level off the ground and more susceptible to issues. Not always but it does. There's a reason Nike labeled them a strict lifestyle shoe.

 

UGA didn't win the Natty... but ive been intrigued by these shoes, they look good and are comfortable just concerned about how they will last as well has how they will hold up to early morning rounds wit dew on the ground.

Fabric shoes rarely hold up as well as leather, especially for water proofing and upper support. These are $80 "style" golf shoes.. I bought a pair because they look awesome and are very comfortable - I think they will last me a while because I rotate a couple different shoes. I don't imagine I will wear these much until it's hot and dry out though..

I have rolled my ankles trying to do athletic movements so many times in Roshe's and seen it happen to others numerous times as well. The support of the shoe for any type of dynamic movement is not there. It is strictly a lifestyle type shoe meant for wearing around and walking. I see similar happening to a lot of golfers with these. I absolutely love the shoes though and use them as intended, have many pair.

 

Why in the world are you trying to do athletic movements in Roshes?? At the absolute most I would recommend a light jog in them. That being said, the golf version are surprisingly stable.

Agree. I've actually got a few range sessions in with mine (still too wet and cold to get on the course) and they aren't giving up much support compared to my Speith Ones. Kobe wore low-tops playing bball at the highest level, I'm pretty sure 99% of ankles could handle a golf swing in these..

I'm up to 10 rounds wearing these so far, since picking them up in February. In fact, since buying these, I haven't played a round of golf in any of my other shoes. These are so comfortable. The only way I'll stop wearing them, is if I tear a hole in them.

They are on eBay but all have been bid up to $200+. Pretty surprised. I passed on my private invite figuring they would hit the clearance section after masters and now really regret it.
