Finau got unlucky whilst celebrating and twisted an ankle badly (twisting an ankle isn't exactly rare Finau was unlucky it was so bad) whereas Daly seemingly destroyed a hotel room in a (drunken?) fit of rage.

 

They are hardly equivalents.

 

I wasn't really comparing HOW they got said injuries; I was saying, in a similar fashion, it would be interesting if some how Finau used it as fuel for a win. That's all.

That par 5 stat is wild. Under par on par 5's, over par on 3's and 4's (combined). Did he hit a terrible 2nd shot? I saw the drive, and just as I did on 2, assumed birdie.

How about the stat Tiger is -142 all time on par 5's and then something like 40 over on every other hole. So if Tiger isn't bird'ing these par 5's, he's essentially giving up a stroke.

You don't win 150+ PGA Tour events and 32 majors by not being able to attack at the right moments. Conservative when to be conservative, attacking when to be attacking. The most conservative players are barely known, they just do enough to finish top 25.
