New Titleist TS drivers

TS2 arrived today. Got a quick 9 in. Spectacular driver. Very pleased so far. Easily 10-15 yds farther than my 917 D2. Went down to 9.5 from 10.5. Properly fit this time with HZRDUS red shaft. Just lovely. Dispersion was tight. 917 D2 I dunno, been having a pillow fight for some time with it. Sound and feel did it for me. Hard to check roll. Course down here soaked so balls were plugging. When I was fit about 2 weeks ago was certain I would purchase TS3 but for me, TS2 was my monster. Weather is finally breaking back to normal thank God. This season has been a challange. Fairways are draining so roll will come into play probably by the weekend which is supposed to be spectacular. Ground crew started mowing so this is going to set up beautifully now. Titleist was super fast with delivery. They're cranking these out now. Head cover is nice. Little sticky getting club back in and out due to moisture but a nice quality cover. Pro shop couldn't believe I have in hand already. Guys were testing on range with me and all I heard was wow. This is tremendous

For those who received their drivers, about how long after the fitting did it arrive?

Very fast. 2 weeks tops

Hit both today. I’m not getting rid of my current driver, but I might have to get my hands on an EF white 6.5.

Played a few holes this evening. I like the evenflow white. Driver seems very forgiving so far. The straighter face and toe area actually helped me work the ball. I could see the toe of the club and it helped my get my angles better... if that makes sense.

 

Much better then my 917d3, but not sure if it’s better than my jpx900 with 757.,, still testing for a winner for the bag.

I hit the TS2 worse on the GC2 than the TS3 but outside the TS3 is not as good as I had hoped.... Maybe the TS2 would be a better fit. Has anyone hit the TS2 vs the MAX?

The head cover, although I am not a fan of these new boxing glove styles, is pretty beefy. Should be able to hit it tomorrow outside.

 

 

 

We're they able to swing weight it to stock or higher?

 

I can not confirm that, but I was told they would get it to stock. I have not checked the weight yet..

 

What surefit cg weight did it it come with?

Could be.... but I am partial to Titleist drivers and will always give them a chance.

I took the EF white 6.5 (75g) out of my TS2 right away. Did no€™t like it personally. It will play 44.75 in a TS2/3. Let me know if you ever decide you really want one.

Spent more time with the TS3 than 2. Seemed to be pretty straight to a slight draw. I always attribute shape to the shaft though. At least that's been my experience. I didn't love the look of them at address. Sound and feel were nice. The straighter (looking at least) face gave me a little confidence that the ball was going where I aimed. I wasn't really warmed up and only hit about a dozen balls with the TS3 (a few less with the 2), so I wasn't paying all that much attention to distance or numbers. Just wanted to see flight. Not bad. My MAX does launch high, but man it just goes and goes. Add in all the forgiveness that it offers and it just doesn't make sense to move on to me.

I took the EF white 6.5 (75g) out of my TS2 right away. Did no€™t like it personally. It will play 44.75 in a TS2/3. Let me know if you ever decide you really want one.

 

Think it might come up a little short for what I play. Like my drivers at either 45 or 45.25. If my math is off, let me know.

I've found that they seem to launch slightly higher than stated loft. Seems like I've heard of several friends of mine that have been able to go down in loft and keep the same trajectory.

 

As for feel - they feel very solid through impact. No 'springyness', but not harsh like composite heads can get. Image hitting a marshmellow with a steel plate... just seems to go right through the ball. Hope that makes sense.

 

The sound is very good to my ears. If I tee it higher and hit toward above the center of the club, it will get a littler more higher pitched (think trying to hit it higher to ride the wind), but anything around the center sounds great.

Pretty sure you can order the club with a Diamana LTD S+ 60 at no extra charge. Other than that, I would say the Tensei Blue is the closest.

Lots of chatter here between ts and ping max. Sound and more importantly feel I felt was much better with ts. Ts2 for me was better fit. Gotta get fitted properly to check your numbers. Funny the few rounds I’ve already played with new driver every time I’ve taken new cover (which is so nice) I keep saying to myself “here we go...”. Shiny!
