Wow. I just built the original with a flow neck which feels incredible. Haven’t seen a green yet but love the feel on the carpet.  BTW, the site is showing in stock but not sure if that’s right.

I’m curious, I’m someone who hits their 7 irons 140yds on a good day and shoots in the low 90s, would someone recommend the TS2s or the STI2s?

Two different ends of the spectrum. The TS-2 is a state of the art build. Multi piece forged construction. Urethane injected. The STi2 is a no nonsense cast game improvement iron. If budget isn't a problem go the the TS-2 all day long. It's not that the STi2 is a bad option but you are really paying for a leap in quality. The STi2 will do everything you ask of it and actually feel pretty good. But the finish isn't as durable. They don't bend as easily either. In hand the STi2 does look good. Some of my demos come back looking worse for wear.

But in all honesty you are getting what you are paying for with both heads.

I use the STI2s and find them super forgiving. Never hit the ts2s. Given your scores, I'd go with the sti2s.

Fyi, I avg high 80s.

The beauty of Maltby is you can build or have them build you a test club of each and know for sure.

ie: TS2 6 iron with your shaft and grip of choice and a STi2 7 iron the same. It’s a $20-100 experiment depending on if you build them yourself or not. If you do, you repurpose the shaft/grip and your only out the cost of the head and shipping.

Love my TS2s (with XCaliber Rapid Taper shafts).   Driver swing speed is 92 mph.   Handicap 11.2 and 7 iron flies 145 yards.

Which hosel did you use?

The aluminum 3”.  I thought about carbon but didn’t want to add too much weight.  That hosel makes it perfectly face balanced.

How does the finish match (head, shaft)?

NM.....appears it is black (?)....that's my main concern with these hosels is the transition from shaft to head and them being a different color.

I ended up going to with a Cleveland Huntington Beach 10.5. As with all DTC products I am always hesitant with blind buying clubs.

It is a disadvantage, but given I've putted with the blade model I can attest to the quality of that line.  I am competent in my builds of swing clubs, but once we get to installing a putter shaft with a bend, fahhhgggetaboutit!  I look at putting indoors on a mat or at home on the carpet the same way I do hitting on the sim, it's better then a hope and a prayer but the true test is outside on the course!

I agree and debated about going with the Carbon model. But then my fear with that was if they were close in color but not exact that would bother me more than just it obviously being different (i.e. black).

I actually like the black color as the transition matches the "star" on the face.  Looking down at it I don't notice it.  If I can get better pictures where there's not so much light I will.
