GTW2: I don't really plan on swapping anything out. Of course I never really plan on swapping things out, but it happens anyways. The only way I could see myself changing my driver is if my launch conditions change a ton, as a result of working on changing my path. It's the best overall performance I've ever gotten from a driver. I don't use my 3w much, and have really gotten along well with the TS2 since I bought it last year. My hybrid has been in the bag longer than anything else. It's not going anywhere. I love my irons. I've had them since they came out in 2018. I've got a fresh set of Vokeys in the bag. I want to maintain consistency with the putter, and keep the Spider X. I do want to get something to fill the 4-iron distance spot in my bag. I bought a GAPR Mid 4-iron from 2nd Swing at the end of last season. I like it, but it goes too far. I'm going to try and return that. They're being extra flexible on the length of the return period in the off-season. I really need to just order the 4-iron to match my set and be done with it.

Mavrick driver (already in the bag)

mavrick 3/5 (already in the bag)

jaw wedges 50/54/58 (wait for recoils to build)

Keeping apex pros 4-Pw

might look at the super deep hybrid or one of the 5 options to take place of my 4 iron

Adjust the lie angle of my putter up 2.

GTW: Doing a wedge change from 52/58 to 50/56/60. After going to the Apex Pros in late summer, I find myself no longer needing a 3i/DI and find myself with too big a gap between the PW and my 52*. May also mess around in the 3w area. Steelhead has been there a while and is starting to develop a large catalog of bad memories.

The last few times we played together you were hitting the ball well but it does seems like you could get more out of your driver when compared to how well you where hitting 4 wood/irons.

The only major change I made last fall - that I never filled - was dumping my 3h. It went as far as my 3W and just was not a highly used slot in the bag. For slightly shorter shots, the 3i is just as easy to hit - as idiotic and contrary to all common sense as that sounds. So I took it out one day - and never filled that slot back in. Had thought about adding another wedge but just didnt need to.

I've always been that way. With various drivers, whether playing well or poorly. I've concluded I just suck. My swing steepness kills it.

On two perfect strikes, I'd say my 4W is only 10 yards shorter than driver (on average it's more because driver mishits go longer). Most people I see are more like 20-25 yards different. Again, most of that is just my swing, but maybe there's some help out there for me.

GTW2 : No PLANNED equipment changes; not even thinking about it.

Driver : I've loved the G400 MAX since I got it. Great shaft.

4W is the longest lasting club in my bag.

I'm FINE with my hybrid.

I like the JPX-900 Forged a lot. 4-GW.

Wedges : fine.

Putter : That was a real "surprise" entry into the bag last year. The Wolverine was never a putter I was aware of, but I saw it in 2nd swing and really liked how it swung. The only thing I might look into is the grip; the grip is really beat up, but it's fine. I don't really want to change the size or the grip weight, so I need to spec out the exact model and look around if I get serious.

GTW: I have a 50* GW in my bag that I don't use at all. I feel more comfortable with an easy PW or a hard 54*. I think I'm going to abandon the GW for my 5w. At the top of my bag, I have Driver-3w-4h, so I'm probably better off having the 5w back in there.

Driver is always up for a demotion, but I switched back to my old 2017 M1 later in the season and really like it. Next time I go to second swing, I'll try out some different driver heads.

I'm going to REALLY enjoy it at the next Hive event when half the field is wearing Trues.

I am a tinkerer. Always will be. I like different looks from time to time.

I started this fall. Got rid (traded) a lot of "garage" clubs and picked up a Ping G410 driver (even though I had the best driving year I can remember)

New wedges (Apex GW at 48*, TM HiToe 52/56) and adjusted my SM7 54 to 53. This will give me an option of going 48/52/56 or 48/53/58.

I might move my Apex CF16. Never got along with them. Probably the shaft and I am all for max forgiveness now.

Putter is always in flux

GTW:

I went through a short club ho stage last season but think I'm going to keep everything as is for now

I was fairly happy with the performance of my new Srixon DI first time out so I'm hoping it fills the spot

May update the grip on my putter for a new one of the same kind but the Newport II is probably staying in the bag

The site that shall not be named got an article at ESPN.

I got an email from them, "We are incredibly grateful and humbled to have our 10-years of hard work featured on the front-page of ESPN."

There is almost nothing I hate more than when someone says, "I am so humbled because of such and such" when they mean the EXACT OPPOSITE. Grateful, OK. Thanks for featuring us, but certain words mean certain things.

How about this. . ."We wanted to share this with you because you've been a loyal reader and we're PROUD that our work is being exposed to a wider audience."

Is that so hard?

When I got beat in the first round of the CC playoffs last year by a kid who shot about 83 I was humbled. That's what humbled means. It doesn't mean the opposite of what it means.

Humble is probably the very last word I would use to describe them.

Don't get me started.

I love the idea of what they do. In practice, I unfollowed them on everything because they present random data off as science. Get a few guys together for an afternoon, hit a few balls on trackman, average some numbers, publish it as gospel. It's a minor improvement over the hot list getting some random input from people, but not by much. Then be completely arrogant about it being gospel, and how everyone else is lying to you.

It was the last part that finally got to me. I can deal with shady analysis, because you can still learn something from it if you're careful.

GTW: I'm as far from a tinkerer as you can be. Its probably been six or seven years since I've bought a club. I haven't even regripped in that time. My putter grip is literally in tatters. So its time for some changes.

Irons - Just ordered P790s, 4-AW. If the launch monitor is right, they're 13 yds longer than my i20s.

Wedges - Ordered two new SM7's, 54.14F and 58.14K . My old wedges were SM4's off the rack and you can see the wear near the heel of the sole. New ones are 2* flat and will hopefully aid some of my pulls.

Hybrid -- No change. Sticking with the good ol' Callaway Diablo.

3W - I've been hard duck hooking my G20 to the point that I won't even hit it anymore. I think cartoonish draw bias isn't helping. Once my other clubs come in, I'll trade the old stuff for a TS2 at 2ndSwing.

Driver - Ordered a Cobra F9 King Speedback to replace my R11s. This seemed to help bring my pushes back in line.

Putter - Regripping my SC Newport 2.5 with a winn jumbo pistol lite.

And I can't get all these new clubs and put them in a crummy old bag, so I'm thinking of replacing my SM Four5 and its fraying straps for a new Three5.

It was also the arrogance of WE DONT TAKE MONEY FROM BIG GOLF COMPANIES LOOK AT HOW UNBIASED WE ARE COMPARED TO OTHER SITES THAT LIE TO YOU...asterisk

...but we'll take all the money we can get our hands on from small or medium sized companies. Or our users who we send out emails for donations all the time.

I got blocked from them.

However— agree with what y’all are saying.

The ability for them to not take criticism or even open conversation was what always gets me about them like Napoleon complex

GTW2 - Only change will be irons. I decided to go away from the TMBs after 2+ seasons. I've already sold them and have a set of Cobra King Forged Tour in the bag right now. I want something more forgiving though. Not sure what I will get but I think I will go back to steel shafts (still have the Fuji Pros in case I want to go back to graphite).
