I had a Twitter account just long enough to realize how annoying Twitter is.

I agree with ya 100% BD, though I will say that it is the great communications equalizer and vehicle as far as getting a message to an individual and having a chance, regardless of how remote, of having them respond, where otherwise there would be absolutely zero chance of one communicating with that individual.

 

I am speaking to a mini rant(I mean with 140 or 160 characters or whatever it is, how detailed can ya get?) that I tweeted regarding Wilson Staff, their piss poor handling of an Iconic brand and their impotent President, Mike Dowse. We eventually started to exchange emails and after he verified through his Pgh Rep and my club’s HP that I indeed had some of Sam’s(and Pete’s) clubs, we swapped some hats and I sent him one of Sam’s old Staff drivers, which he might’ve hit on the line in an exhibition, though I seriously doubt it as Sam absolutely hated Staff woods and had their sole plate put on his Pena drivers, however even though I told him that I was 99%+ sure that Sam never hit it(it still had the wrapper on it when he gave it to me, and these were the drivers that he gave away to individuals and charities. Though I do have two of his Penna “Staff” drivers, he very very rarely gave those away), he wanted it anyway cuz it did have “SS” on the sole plate.

 

Anyhoo, my ability to throw a tweet “out there,” opened a dialogue that one, continues to this day and secondly, I never would’ve opened otherwise.

 

Though except for that and the free hats, yea, twitter sucks??

 

Oh yea, where as Staff used to have seriously ugly arse hats, they now have some great lookin lids and visors, not just that nauseous looking white with red/tan/black visor?

Later edit:09/03/2018, 8:07 EST~ I cant believe that I forgot to mention this however through our correspondence, I mentioned that I had done a few Staff threads and posted in many others and about 3-4 months later a thread appeared on the board and in fact it resurfaced not to long ago(this past February/Marchish however Drowse emailed me and explained the thinking behind a move that I was very critical of. I politely stated that it was flawed thinking(it was not his however the marketing department) and he was stuck on these damn focus groups which it has been my e perimeter in being around em for more than two decades that ya learn more about group dynamics than ya do marketplace dynamics with focus groups and I just point to abysmal sales with clients and I did the same with Staff, so how correct were the focus groups??? My point is that I don’t know if Drowse is a forum

PR rubs people the wrong way. Okay I get it..., so if this is the worst villain on a tour full of bible study buddies I think golf is doing alright. Compared to the NFL, not even talking kneelers, PR is a goody-two-shoes. Yeah I know golf has a higher standard, whatever that means, but come on guys, give it a rest, he isn’t breaking laws here, he’s allegedly done some stupid stuff in college, allegedly mind you The guy is a player, it’s a sport, you know ....entertainment. Root for him or against him he, doesn’t care, he’s getting paid. The only one upset are the “haters”. That’s what I find funny, people getting worked up on the www about a pro athlete upgrading free tickets. The joke is on the people getting all worked up about this insignificant faux moral issue that hasn’t cost anyone anything except the villain,the evil PR himself $650, which is chump change for him.

Why do I get the feeling that Reed didn't have any longtime close friends growing up and girls wanted nothing to do with him. Then he falls for the first girl to give it up and she is bat sh*t crazy and got her claws into him and his family saw this and tried to warn him but the power of the pu*sy was to much for him........Just my opinion not really knowing any of the details. But I hope somehow he can salvage a relationship with his family, life is just to short and no matter who's fault it is I hope they can get back together.
