i can take chest pockets or leave em. i'm just not a fan of the white stripe on the chest pocket.

 

also, nike flex victory pants, anyone try them? curious on fit. between those and the 5 pocket pants as they are both 85, but want the slimmer fit and i heard the 5 pockets are a little looser this year.

Its embarrassing whats going on in the skateboarding, i mean golf, department. The polos, no swooshes on the chest, these pants, the safari hats, the on again/off again products on the website.... And the people that i talk to that work for them are so arrogant about how "good" this stuff. Smh

Do you think the golf division have more Jordan brand employees rather than the traditional golf employees?

Ah that’s why you said “skateboarding” in your previous post. I just thought with the Nike Golf president being from Jordan brand he would bring over some of his minions.

 

I get they are trying to reach a younger audience but I’m puzzled at some of their decisions.

Although I personally dont think this season of Nike clothing has been the best, it's very apparent they are trying to make golf apparel trendy & appeal to the younger generation.

I respect the forward thinking - but it's not for everyone.

The problem with that thinking is that, unlike other sports that don’t have a uniform (e.g., skateboarding, snowboarding, surfing, or even pick-up basketball), golf is about tradition. That is, most of these kids are being introduced and allowed access to the game from their fathers (usually, but sometimes mothers, grandparents, or aunts/uncles). The young players I know that take the game seriously and are at the course every day - they WANT to dress like their fathers. Simple stripes and solids with a clean, professional look. They don’t want blade colors or graphic prints.

 

There is nothing wrong with being young and trendy, and bringing bold ideas to the market. But in golf, that’s swimming upstream. And Nike already has (and always has) had a problem with being viewed as an outsider trying to force its way into the golf market.

Golf Galaxy has multiple player scriptings up and it appears to be the same there as well. Black shoes though.

All true. But saying "Hey something has always been that way, why bother change it?" is an awful way to look at anything.
