Sure those irons will be amazing in hand, but not photogenic to my eyes.

And surely the most important thing is how they perform.

Anyway after G700, i210 and i500 I was expecting something different

What were you expecting from a G series iron?

I'd guess he was expecting a "clean" look without a lot of graphics.

I mean if Mizuno can make the Hot Metals look like a sexy club why can't other people make their game-improvement / game-enjoyment irons look stylish?

I do want to see them in hand to get a better feel for them, but it is kind of sad that at least from the back / badge (which yes, you don't see at address!), that the g700 look WAY better than these IMO (yes this is all subjective!).

It's a Ping G series. If it lacked a lot of graphics it would've been a first. And to each his/her own as I think the Mizuno 919 Hot Metal cavity is a jumbled mess.

I like the 410 iron. Tough to go wrong with a (mostly) black badge.

I'd bet that PING thinks most of the people that buy G series irons don't fiddle too much about the look.

If the G410 irons has a little less offset in a slightly smaller footprint, it will look really good - for a game improvement iron.

If that doesn't do it for you, you are an i210 person.

I hear ya in general.... but the last G Series iron we got was this:

Point taken. This did muck up the design aesthetic of the G line.

I believe they're skipping G420 for obvious reasons. G425 has hit the TM list recently. Why they didn't go to G415? Who knows.

FWIW, Michael Newton will be releasing all reviews for the Ping G410 lineup next week. Hybrid, Driver, Fairway and Irons.

Also, Rick hinted at releasing a video of "the best looking driver of 2019" next week. So I think it’s safe to assume all G410 reviews are set to release starting next Monday.

Would not count out the new Mizuno lineup as well. There are already some videos floating around on YouTube.

OK, so I hit all of it today. I currently play the G400max with DI IZ 6x @44.5". This has been by far the best driver for me, I have ever had. I was fitted by Ping at an offsite location in Scottsdale today. I hit the G410 Plus against my driver. The new hosels allow for "lie angle" adjustments which is awesome. The 410 feels a lot different than my max as well as sounds more "thudy" for a lack of a better word. My Max feels like the face flexes more as oppose to the G410. After trying several settings shafts etc, the fitters felt that I should stick with my Max and I totally agreed. I then went on to the G410 3 wood. All I can say, is IMO this is the SLEEPER of the whole line. Ping addressed the spin issues they had with the G400. The turbulators are "taller" but the head is NOT as shallow, face is taller and overall look is SOOOO much better IMO.. Once again the hosel at the flat" setting was just perfect for me. I actually fit into the CK Orange (no not pro) stock offering, which I have nothing stock and this suprised me quit a bit. My ballspeed was up spin perfect 2500 to 2700 and I gained 9 yards of carry from my Rogue. What I liked about it the most is mishits were not as severly punished as I thought they should be. My M3 hybrid could not be beat but I will be putting in the new Crossover for sure. The look is much more clean, much more of an iron than the previous offerings. The crossover still has a ton of offset which I do not like, but they are going to help me out in those regards. The BLUEPRINTS have no timeline if any for release. They literally only have roughly 10 sets according to my guy. If they do come out they will NOT be the Iblade 2.0, that is for sure. He said the actual head size is a tad smaller than my MP18's.... Without divulging to much I told them I would not posts pics even thought they are out there. I got the feeling that Ping is going to have a HUGE breakout driver next year in the G420... I kept trying to puch that coversation with my guy but he was pretty tight lipped, except saying sometimes driver releases need two year cycles...... I was told that my clubs will not ship unitl March as that is the release date, but I got a feeling I will get them sooner....

Did you hit the irons?

I have zero inside information but I'd suspect it will be in line with the G400 (obviously before the recent price cut, with perhaps some amount of new model year inflation) since it looks like it is a "normal" cavity back cast iron club so you don't have the increased cost of hollow head manufacturing to justify a higher price (like you do with the G700 and i500).

I've hit the irons, and they look really nice but to me the feel off the face is firm, with a loud crack similar to the g400. If you're someone who likes the feel of the g400s but wish it were a bit slimmer you'd prob like the g410

I say this jokingly, ... only on WRX will a thread about an unreleased model (g410) tout the next unreleased model (g420) in the series.

Some flavor of the month driver.
Some driving iron for Links courses.

A hybrid to save my bad shots.
Titleist blades when I feel lucky otherwise something more forgiving.
A Vokey wedge or 2.
I hate every one of my 17 putters.

G410 iron price does move up just a bit, as you say more in line with an inflation type increase. G410 driver does move up in price substantially though.

Like the red but the G400 still looks way better. $500 for a PING driver though never paying that.
