Kidding. That was the perfect tribute song for a bunch of on-course old dudes to partake in. NBC Golf does need some youth on their broadcast right away. I give them credit for showing more golf shots than CBS, but it's time for some fresh voices. Azinger is a very nice addition, but he isn't necessarily young.

Supposedly the TP5X and the new Cobra driver are giving him a bunch more yards. Everybody creams the balls in Phoenix, but it does seem like Rickie is hammering it.

 

Wouldn't mind if Roger retired.. he's blind.

 

I thought Roger and Gary were going to retire with Johnny, but clearly they are sticking it out one more year at least

Agreed to an extent. A mix of veterans and youth would serve both NBC and CBS well. Problem is where do you find the youth?

 

Its not like they are going to send Blair O'Neil out there just to laugh and smile at everything that is said in her direction...although im surprised that they havent tried that yet.

His driving has been great and his mid range putting has been sensational! I wonder if he is still using a shorter driver shaft or gone back to something a little longer.

CBS found Amanda Balionis and the right person(s) is out there. I'm not saying hire four people under age 40, but NBC has zero youth. The only one that comes close is the youthful Feherty.

The stats that the Golf Channel just showed for Rickie's driving could be really huge for TaylorMade. Way less spin with higher launch and more yards. Those stats were combined since the fall tournaments with the Pro V1, but still Rickie is definitely longer now.

I like Rickie, but as MarkFromTheUk posted "He's not a fan of Sundays"............I would not be overly shocked to see Rickie's 4 shot lead disappear by 16 and then pull the driver into the water on 17 and that's all she wrote.. Kucher has already won twice and he's free wheeling with loads of confidence.............It should be interesting.
