More NBC Sports Gold Issues

Anyone else getting this message? I then go to the website and it forces me to open the app to watch content. I go back to the app and get the same message again.

They switched it to the NBC Sports app. Download the regular NBC Sports app and sign in with the same info from the gold app and it should work fine.

PGA Tour Live is carried by NBCSports Gold, which has now been made a part of the NBC Sports app.

Once you figure it out there is MUCH more coverage than last year. It’s basically golf all day long between this and the golf channel and the networks on the weekend.

 

It’s definitely “worth it” once you figure out how to get it. The app can get a little buggy, but it works pretty well for me.

Switched to amazon prime. Gold sucks. And when they moved it from gold to nbc sports it sucked more.

Just cancelled my monthly subscription through NBC and signed up through Amazon. The stream through NBC has been horrible all season. Hope Amazon is better.

I left NBC few weeks ago and went to Amazon. Very happy with Amazon service and streaming quality!!

NBC gold sucks. Even when it was streamed for free it sucked. You here the ball hit before you see them hit the shot. I already pay enough for TV. I'm also ready to stop watching golf because of how slow they play.

My NBC Gold stream has been stuck on "initializing" with the spinning wheel all morning. I've tried different browsers, loading and re-loading like a thousand times. Super annoying.

Yep. I’m telling you. I can open the amazon prime video app and on one button have it playing. Timed it a while Ago ... 4 seconds total and had coverage playing. I’d still be searching for the blanking button on gold

I signed up today through prime. I had had issues with trials even getting tour live to work in the past so I never had a subscription. I figured prime was a better idea than gold.

I think perhaps you are misunderstanding. Everyone is talking about PGA Tour Livewhich is CARRIED on NBC sports gold and Amazon Prime Video. It is an extra subscribtion only service. It is not available free anywhere.

I don’t get ads. I do get dead air and a picture of the leaderboard where an add would go however...so is it really ad free?? I mean, technically it is but who wants dead air over and over again. Kinda cheesy they can’t just do silent coverage where the commercials should go.

Is prime $9.99 month vs Gold being $49 for the year? Or does prime have a yearly subscription? I got PGA Live $39yr and it renews in September. NBC gold has worked perfectly for me until the glitching this morning & that cleared up fast.
