But, I'd still be using my 2005 Satin TP MB's if it weren't for the groove rule.

My current set has stood the test of time. Taylormade Tour Preferred CB from 2011, i think. I was fitted for them with Dynamic Gold XP R300 shafts. Might try the new P790 irons. But, they would have to truly be game changers to make the change.

Perfect iron set looks like a blade but gets progressively more forgiving the longer the club gets, without adding offset. But the badging on the back remains the same blade look.

 

So like the vapor pro forged combo set from 2011ish but without the change in cavity appearance. Make it all look like a blade.

 

Forged blades 8-PW with a Pw at 46 or 47. Then start with the tungsten or forgiveness with the blade look at the 7, have the 7 be between 32-34 degrees. And keep going with the blade length getting progressively longer up to 3i at 20.

 

That’s the dream set.

Epon AF-302 with a touch less offset. Love the grind and feel though.
