If we go way back (15 years for me as I can't remember the random single clubs I had as a kid-kid) then it would be:

Titleist 983K - YS-6

Lonewolf Clone 3 wood - some ladies shaft

Tommy Armour Evo Cavity irons - stock whatever

Wedge - Nike DD or TW grind OG Forged

Putter - Ping IsoPur (the first putter my parents bought me).

 

I do remember one of the random cut down clubs was a blade or small CB that had a graphite shaft in it that had little yellow bumps all the way down (almost like seeds of stability chunks). It was such a great club, stiff as all heck but I hit it really well. The company is probably long gone by now but they were called Swix or Swicks and were used by Els for a bit of time.

I started about 7 years ago, so just have the 5 year bag to share. Had no idea what I was doing, and just went with whatever the guy in the store told me was good for someone starting out...

Driver: Ping G30 SF Tec, 10.5 deg, R flex

no 3W

3Hy: TM Burner Rescue, 18 deg, R flex

4 Hy: Ping G25, 23 deg, R flex

Irons: TM Burner, 4-A, think an R flex 85gm shaft

Wedges: set wedges plus a Vokey 56 deg

Putter: TM Est. 79, Newport 2 style

 

Handicap was around the 25+ mark (if there is such a thing). Basically was carding 100+ per round with 6-8 balls lost in water, OB, rough. Fell in love with the game though.

Stuck with it. Everything fitted now. Play to a 12, and slowly creeping down.
