22 of the current top 40 players are of International descent. The parity is there already, no need to alter. What I would like to see though is a greater diversity of players in each 2 year tournament. i.e, if you play in the Ryder Cup, you cannot the Presidents Cup.

Then the top US players would not play in the Presidents Cup. Nope, won’t happen.

The parity is already there? The US has completely dominated the Presidents Cup and the US's average OWGR is significantly better than the International's.

22 of the top 40 in OWGR are from outside the US, but 14 of them are European. The number eligible to play in the Presidents Cup is 8.

Which supports my idea of US Ryder Cup players not being eligible for the Pres Cup. It would certainly level the playing field with the International team, this Cup being the outlier as it was as competitive as you can get.

Honestly, nothing will change the fact that this tourneyment will always play second

fiddle to the Ryder Cup. Maybe change when its played, Seems like a silly season event, big on silly.

Maybe I am the outlier here but I love watching these team events. The PC this year sure kept me interested and was competitive but I know most PC's haven't been. I do not like the idea of not having the best US players play in both the PC and RC. Dont think the internationals would want that either as a victory would be tainted and a loss to "second tier" players would be even more demoralizing. The idea of having sometype of combined gender match is interesting to me as long as the guys are playing the guys, ladies the ladies.

It would help the PC if the RC went back to Great Britain and Ireland. Have the continental Europeans on the PC.

Of course it would likely kill the Ryder Cup but the President Cup would be great.

Other than the slaughter that occurred in 2017, 19-11 USA, the past 8-9 Cups have been competitive with the International’s best performance during that span being a 17-17 tie in 2003 coming off of a 21.5-10.5 pasting in 2000 & a 20.5-11.5 annihilation in ‘98.

I can’t speak for anyone else however I was more excited over watching the Olympics than this lil get together?

It is what it is and even if the Internationals would win some, I don’t think that that would improve the viewership or interest on this side of the pond, lol

When the guys get together for the Ryder Cup, there is intense national pride on both sides of the pond, even though there are myriad national flags under the European team’s side.

This type of national pride, hype and intensity is just not gonna be there when you take the US against basically the guys from the rest of the world?

As @isaacbm so eloquently stated the other evening in a discussion, “You have to Play FOR something, not just AGAINST something”
