Taylormade is not dumb enough to know the product will get leaked before their official launch. Let's not be naive, this was part of TM's plan. I guarantee the leaker is not only still affiliated, I bet the leaker was an account that won some sort of prize and the reward was for the account to be allowed to leak photos. I bet select "winner" accounts are also the ones that got demos shipped early.

Let's not forget that M6, which also started moving the weight low and back in that sort of a bar on the sole. Both M6 and F9 were released around the same time and, as you say, both would have been in development for 2+ years. Any extension of this tech is definitely not a copy of a particular company's driver.

I'd be willing to bet this was not an authorized leak. The activity in "2020 driver" threads on this site alone are evidence they don't need to create a buzz with planted leaks. Too much time and money is put into the plan for these product launches. If they wanted to leak, they'd do it themselves with teaser images.

That said, of course they know things will eventually leak as we get close to release. Given how long the information has been in the hands of reps and accounts, I'm sure they're surprised it took this long.

Im leaning towards a voluntary leak from TM european branch.

Well tm doesnt lose anything from these, if not gaining social media heat.

I personally dont like the m6 fin hence went with m5 instead (after m2 n m4s). The sim will be more forgiving compared to m5 but more speed with more spin dont necessarily convert to more distance off the tee. Im more excited with sim 2 now

How do you know the SIM will spin more than M5? A couple people have posted their experience with the SIM and none have said it spins more. One fella compared it to his M5 Tour and got similar spin numbers.

I was hoping you would say that it had no bias and sat square (that is all I want in a driver)

Let me know when you see the FW in person, when we were chatting on the putting green this year we both had the same issue with the M5 FW, the twist face was very noticeable (too much so for me), If I am lucky the new FW will sit square and have a deep(ish) face.

I thought it sat more square than M5, likely because of the sole. I'm planning to play it nearly identical specs to M5, but I might go to the lower lofted head since I crank the head a couple of clicks towards higher to get a face angle I like. My tendency is to spin M5 a little too much and launch just a tad high, so a degree less of loft would be very welcome.

I grew to love M5 FW and the face geometry at address became a non-issue over time. Once I found a shaft I liked in it, the club really performed well.

At this point, i'm not sure there are any new technologies that would make a 202 driver, better than the last couple releases.

Not really. I hit a couple shots with the weight in the neutral position and then I moved it all the way to draw and left it there. I play my M5 with the weights back in draw and the first couple of shots confirmed I'd probably want it somewhere towards draw in the new one.

Right on. But that draw setting did produce a left bias? One of the biggest things I wonder about the sim is how much shot bias will come from that front track.

No left bias for me, but that's a function of the way I deliver the club into the ball. It will be interesting to see how much the track influences the shot. My hunch is not much, since SIM seems to be about moving mass low and back. Too much forward in a track and you lose the benefits of low/back.

Yep. Would seem to me that sidespin reduction will be limited...but maybe just enough to take a 200-300 rpm off sidespin...that'd be all in need to keep my fade under control.

I just like seeing the ball move right to left but straight with more ball speed would be great too
