i struggle with the non max version having that sole and that big weight. Is this it? No 435 tour version with a pretty sole?

TM said during a photoshoot, all their star players got to test the SIM and all came away impressed. Plus, they are contracted by TM so that means priority for TM is to set these guys up with the new gear so when the season starts they are all gaming the current equipment.

Looks wise, I could live with it if it weren’t for the word SIM being there on the crown next to the hosel, not a fan of that at all.

M5/6 have the same graphic. It fades from view once a ball is in the way of the driver.

It's definitely not the same as a ketchup stain. Once you've had a chance to spend some time with the driver, you won't even see the word on the crown at address. That was my experience anyway.

I do think it's an "interesting" choice of graphics. I'm not exactly a fan, but it's 100% a non-issue.

With the weight track up front like the SLDR does this mean loft up again ? If so are 14* and 16* loft options available again ?

I'm going to guess the answer is no for the loft up question. Like all other answers, you'll have to hit it to see how you deliver the clubhead. I will also guess that whatever loft worked for the m5 or m6 will be close to what you need in this head.

With the weight as low and back as SIM has it, the tendency would be for spin to not be super low.

My guess is the front weight does 2 things:

1. Allow for center of gravity to be shifted heel/toe side to create gear effect bias for draw/fade.

2. Help keep spin down.

 

I wonder how much that front weight is. I also wonder how much internal weighting on the sim max is positioned forward. If there's not a similar amount of weight forward in sim max then that driver may allow for lower lofts.

Yes, but I don’t care about the bottom of the club. I like address, face and the top pictures. The ones that really matter.

It's too bad things got leaked this way. OEM's invest millions in marketing plans and one idiot spills the beans. I guarantee that he is no longer affiliated with the company.

On that note, the sole fin as I will call it was first with the F9 and clearly its what the TM team stumbled upon in their testing. typically R&D started on this driver 2 years before now, and before the F9 was released, so I wouldn't call it a copy of sorts. Physics just pushes you in the same direction.

I'm really interested in this one! I love the white and blue! And the V steel is back!! very cool!
