I seem to remember the velcro on my m-craft headcover also losing its grip.

Bad batch maybe, now I have a 8-10 year old mizuno headcover from the MP-A series. Velcro is just fine on that.

I have had the M Craft 1 in my bag for two seasons now and it's my favorite putter I've ever played.  I actually have bought a M Craft 4 as well just to play around with...but I prefer the 1.

Yes, my head cover isn't working so well anymore as the velcro isn't holding very well and I've had to go back and look for it a couple of times lately...not awesome.

Still rolling the M Craft 1 and have had my 2 career best putting rounds with it this year. This is one of those putters that's fun to practice with so I've become very attached to it. I read this review of this putter and the author states he was disappointed with a slightly dead feel off the face. I know what he's talking about, but that's one of the reasons I really like this putter. If you don't setup correctly or are sloppy in your mechanics the feedback will let you know.

This putter is a great teacher. After having used it for some time now I can tell you that once you learn how to nail the sweet spot every time the effort is worth it. For me that meant cutting the putter to the perfect length for my setup, playing with the weights until I found the perfect combo (13 heel, 3 toe), changing grips multiple times until I found one that felt great and created the ideal (balanced) swingweight (the Golf Pride Pro Only blue star fit the bill here), standing a bit more upright and moving the ball closer to me in my stance, keeping the putter head closer to the ground and making sure my stroke "finished" with the clubhead moving towards the target.

Doing all these things was a lot of trial and error, but I enjoyed the process of learning what worked and what doesn't, and now I have extreme confidence in my putter and my stroke. I never put this much time into learning the nuances of a putter, but I'm glad I did because it's paying off in lower scores, and now I can nail that sweet spot much more consistently than any other putter I've used.

As far as the headcover goes... yeah it's nothing special, but that's far from a deal-breaker here, I really don't care too much about that. Just replace it with a nice magnetic one if you want.

The putter comes with a weight kit, so you can easily experiment and dial in exactly the weight you prefer. Included in the kit are (6) weights, two of each size; 3g, 8g & 13g. I like putting the 13g weight in the heel and the 3g in the toe to offset some of the toe hang that's characteristic of all slant neck putters. By default the putter comes with a 8g weight in the heel and toe. The weights also come in handy if you change grips and want to adjust the swingweight.

yeah I know I own the putter, thanks. I was just wondering how and why u came up with putting different weights in each side. I just got mine 2 weeks ago so i havent had time to play with it yet. Thanks for the info

Fun Fact - I track my golf stats on The Grint app. Over the past 3 years my putting average has hovered around 35 while using a variety of putters - blades, mallets, squarebacks etc. Different brands and styles, but good ones including Bettinardis's and Scottys. Since switching to the M Craft 1 earlier this season, my putting average for rounds with this putter only is right now sitting at 31. That's the first time a putter change has actually translated into a noticeable difference where it counts - on the scorecard.

I ended up changing grips again on this putter. The GP Pro Only blue star felt great at first, but the unorthodox shape kind of bothered me a bit over time. I switched to the more traditional feeling GP Pro Only red star and like it better. For some reason it seems proper grip selection with this putter factors into feel and performance more so than other putters. Of course grip choice always makes makes a difference with any putter, but seems like even more so with this particular putter.

It was bad from the start. Love the putter btw

Well, wasn't that long ago I said that my headcover was fine. But this weekend, it literally fell off my putter as I took it out of the bag because the velcro wasn't sticking.

Guess I need to look for an aftermarket option.

When you change the weights is there supposed to be a click like the torque wrenches or no?

The tool that comes in the supplied weight kit does not click. Just snug the weights with it and you’re good to go.

I did this recently with my IMOI 1, hated the stock grip and with the 8G at 35" it felt like a sledge to me. I put in the 3G, cut it down to 34" and replaced the grip with the PING Fingerlock. Overall design of the Fingerlock & feel is nearly perfect to the BabyT I was trying to achieve.

I'll scour through the post, however I wonder if anyone can comment on the durability of the putter with the finishes, etc?  Of course taking in consideration usual protective care.

It's funny that you ask, last night I left my black ion number 2 in a container filled with diet coke, and to my surprise, when I took it out this morning, it looked exactly the same, can anyone explain to me why this is?

Probably a PVD finish, pretty impervious to chemicals.

I just picked up a black M-Craft VI. It was too stable for me to pass up. I've always said that if I could find a putter between the size of the PLD Tyne 4 and Scotty X5 / X7 it would be perfect. This fits right in the middle for me.

Picked up a IV in black ion a few weeks ago. Weather has been crap here, so only putting around the living room on practice mat. I did get to roll it on practice green at course before buying it. Feels amazing, had very good distance control, can't wait to game it this year. Switching from a Spider GT, wanted to get away from Mallet after couple years of experimenting with one. Had gamed a copper anser 4 for 25 or so years prior.
