Favorite New Wedges

I've acquired two different new wedges this year and they're both great for the function I needed.

1 - Mizuno T20 56° is my new favorite all round wedge and SO good in the sand it's ridiculous. I use a full swing with all my wedges so trajectory is really important and the T20 gives me just what I want. I can flight up, down, etc. and of course the touch and feel around the greens is also excellent.

2 - Edison 51° is my new gap wedge and is also an excellent full swing wedge, but where it really shines are the 3/4, 1/2, 1/4 and feel shots around the greens. I used to do 90% of my chipping and pitching with the 56 or 60 but now I'm using the Edison gap wedge a lot more around the greens. Excellent feel and love the turf interaction. This one is perfect for those tight lies that get the heart racing a bit. Not sure how it would work as a 56 (I like more bounce on that club), but know that my next 60° will be an Edison. I can already see how the shape, feel and sole of the 51° will translate to 60°

I just gave up my RTX4 wedges for Sub70 Golf wedges. I will put my Sub70s up against any wedge out there. They may not offer all of the "exotic" grinds but I don't need the exotic grinds. What they make has worked wonders for my short game here in HTX.

I am playing the SM7's, 50, 56, 60 with Nippon 105 Pro shaft. Are you guys playing stock shafts or a specific shaft? Something I recently went to in my 56 and 60, had them set at 3 deg flat, play my irons at 2 flat.

I have PING 3.0s and like them. But the Smithworks wedges are OUTSTANDING. Crazy spin in the cast and milled groove versions!

I play Vokey's but I thought the Jaws are forged 8520 carbon steel?

How do these look when on the ground? I like my leading edge to be square and flat to the ground, not rounded up a bit. In pictures, TM looks like that might be the case. Thanks

I have been playing the NS Pro 105T shaft (regular) in my wedge for years, after going to Manchester Lane for an iron fitting in 2012.

After two rounds with Edison Wedges 51-55-59 (One of 500) and they performed as advertised. I have been using SM6/7 since my Scor Golf wedges’ grooves wore out. Sorry, Titleist... the wedges were the last one's in my bag for a while.

I play tight Bermuda lies here in South FL and after a fitting, I use the MD5 58 with *12 bounce

TM MG2 have been amazing for me.

I do have a Mizzy T20 coming in to try as well. But i dont see the MG2 leaving.

Personally (from what I recall), my SM6 54S (bent strong 1 degree) looked a little squarer than my current 52 (MG2 SB). I think my current 58 (MG2 SB) however is squarer than my old SM6 58M. Not sure about the other MG2 bounce options. Maybe the LB options look squarer?
