The 115's were delayed due to COVID.  This is obvious, and people claiming otherwise are making up straw arguments.

The 115's are available in Mizuno 22X.  Mizuno may have paid Nippon $$$ to be the first OEM to have these exclusively.  There was a rumor that Ping was also going to do this.

Outside emailing Nippon for an answer, I can estimate that the retail 115's will be available at retail this fall or in 2023.  Patience is a virtue.

COVID? Hmmmm, COVID didn't seem to stop TM from releasing SIM2 in 2021 nor did it stop Mizuno from the releasing the JPX lines in 2021. But somehow COVID crushed Nippon from releasing a standard Modus 115 after they released them in the  Black sets? Roger that. Best of luck to ya'll going into year two of your wait for them. I do hope this weird marketing campaign finally pays off. Meanwhile I'll go into year two of playing mine.

No worries, I have mine.  I also did not want to wait, and took the plunge with zero regrets.

Did TM and other OEM's release clubs with massive delays, and component sourcing issues last year?  How many threads about "where are my clubs"?  Those OEM's did not care about delays, because people still bought them and paid $$$.  Maybe Nippon was being more cautious with their strategy?

You keep on harping about "bad marketing", though there are other factors involved if you opened your eyes.

Nippon probably saw the COVID issues coming, and decided to DELAY the launch, and wait for more favorable conditions to launch a new product.  You mentioned that they CANCELLED the launch due to poor marketing and feedback.

Thank you for doubling and tripling down on being wrong though.

I love my 105s but have been interested in 115s so just emailed nippon (jan 2022), this is what they told me

Reviving this a bit here to get some input. How much more stable, if any, are these over the 105? I have some Mizunos coming with 115 stiff. I was fit for 105x soft stepped once in the past but have always stuck with my trusty Project X LZ 6.0s. Always preferred Modus feel but the 105s just always had too much dispersion for me. TIA.

My hunch is they are slightly firmer in the midsection, so less "load" feeling. Will feel slightly firmer in the swing, more linear evenflow type bend. Not that head lagging and whip through impact you get with 105/125 or PX LZ. I would not be surprised to see people saying these are closer to flex than other Nippons which most argue are soft to flex. I think the Stiff flex will fit many S/X tweeners. And X will be a true X and a smoother C-Taper lite type of shaft IMO.

For me, that translated to straighter shots, lower spin, flatter rise to a lower apex, but this also decreased ballspeed and distance. I think I could have made them with with stronger lofts to stretch out the carry and hit my desired yardages. But my ORA protos are doing a better job for me, so I stuck with my gamers. I will probably play around with 115 in future years as I age and start looking for lighter options than what I play now.

Thanks for your insight. This is exactly what I was hoping to hear. I am an X Flex player in my woods but I like a softer feel in my irons and go that tweener route in most cases. Stability is the key and if I feel I have to smooth a shot like I always did with the 105s, its begins to cause issues. I have just gotten so accustomed to the load of the LZs, its going to be tough to beat them. Its going to be a fun experiment though.

Quick report back. The 115s were not my cup of tea. They are definitely stouter than 105s for sure but just didn't get along with how they loaded. They feel like you need to swing them harder but when you go after it, they lose that classic Modus smooth feeling IMO. They definitely feel more stout in the mid section. I am sure there are many out there that love these but to me its a very odd shaft. I have had 125s and 105s in the past. Its been a while but from what I remember this shaft does not feel like either of those and doesn't seem to just be a mid weight version of that shaft. @markheardjr is always spot on with his analysis on Modus and he didn't miss again this time.
