I'v had the BIOM 2 and 3 and loved them. Last pair had the BOA which isn't keeping the shoes tight anymore but the shoes are good. I love the look and from what everyone is saying I just need Nordstom to get them in stock to use my gift cards and I'll pick them up.

So that was the same issue I had with the Biom hybrid 3 BOA.  after hitting balls on the range the first day I got them, they’d loosen up.  I have 2 pair of the white and blue and both do it.   It wasn’t awful but I tried to replace them and Ecco wasn’t easy to deal with.  Went with the lace s three this time.

Mine lasted pretty good for most of last season but then they just wouldn't get as tight as I normally would wear them. I did rotate playing with another pair. They were a warranty replacement so I'm not too upset about it but will for sure be sticking with laces from now on.

Just arrived and put them on in the office.  They feel soft and supple.  Quite a wide toebox.  Just wondering if instead of the euro sizing (only full sizes) whether  American sizing would be better.

That’s what their insoles are for.  So I typically wear 13/14 in shoes.  14 in Nike, 13 in adidas and True.  My Ecco biom hybrid 47 fit great with the insole.   The s-three were kind of tight around the foot.  Removed the insole and they are now perfect.   They use the insole to fit the half sizes.  That’s why the boxes say 13/13.5 and so on for a size 47.

That's exactly why I never get the BOA option.  It usually ends up breaking or malfunctional after prolonged use.  Plus they charge more for it.

Played first 18 in my ECCO S-Threes yesterday and man, I don't think I can wear any other shoes again (have AM97s and AJ5 from last year's PGA issue).   They felt great during the round and even afterwards (drove to gym without changing shoes).  Just fantastic.  I've always been looking for sharp looking shoes but now don't think I'm going to wear anything but ECCOs now, Nike styling notwithstanding.

The Biom Gen 2 got me into Ecco golf shoes.  Now I have the Biom hybrid Gen 3 and am considering picking up the S-Three.  I will never wear any other brand.  I've gone through a ton of golf shoes from Nike, Foot Joy, and Adidas and none of them come close to Ecco in terms of comfort and performance.

Used them on the range today.  Felt a little snug with the insole in.  Removed it and bam! Felt great.

ordered some true links wear OG 1.2 today too.

Will be interested to hear your thoughts on these Eccos vs the trues when you have a chance to play a few rounds in each

I like the OG 1.2 after 2 rounds but not nearly as comfy as the s-three.  The s-three is the shoe of the year for me.

awesome thanks for the feedback. Also, is it weird going from the zero drop of the trues to the ecco? I'm not sure what heel height the ecco has but do you prefer the lower feel of the OG 1.2?

If you’ve never worn Trues, I would say, yes.   Totally different experience. That said, I have used Trues for years and actually enjoy the zero drop when playing. I don’t find them as comfy or plush as some make them sound for walking. In fact, they hurt the bottoms of my feet when walking but , I love the feel of them when riding.  The little walking you do when playin golf in a cart, I enjoy their feel.  I feel more balanced when swinging and I feel I can tell contours better on green complexes when wearing them.

Well dang that is very disappointing to hear. I wanted to try these, however, I only buy the BOA versions. I have had 4-5 pairs of FJ ProSL's BOA and none have ever failed.

Wow, that's crazy lucky then.  The BOA system eventually fails.  How long did you wear each pair?

I have been wearing my codechaos, TL oG1.2 and s-three back to back lately.  The s-three are my favs.   Comfort is slightly an edge to codechaos but i prefer the looks of the s-three.  Overall, edge s-three.

Ah ok.  I usually wear my shoes 2-3 years before swapping them out.  I play 2x a week on average.  My brother loves the BOA tech and has two shoes in the past break on him.  Of course he wore them both for over 2 years.  There have been quite a few complaints from other golfers in general that their BOA based shoes have failed.  Don't shoot the messenger bro, lol.  Just messin'.

I’ve been looking for the S-threes in BOA but I can never find them at any kind of discount. It’s crazy. If anyone sees the S3 Boa on sale anywhere, let me know.

Yeah good luck.  Hard to find

Here to agree on these.  Love them.  I've had multiple pairs of bioms over the years, and these are as good as I've come to expect from Ecco.  Really want to try the S-hybrid hydromax in white.

I'm so sold on ecco.  I've got some True Lux Knits and Majors that I wear often, as well.  Great shoes, incredible how far that company has come.  But honestly there's almost no comparison to eccos.  Gotta be the best golf shoe brand, right?  They might miss the fashion mark more often than others on style and color combos, but they always have at least a few home runs in the line up.

I'd take any advice on DWR/water repellant to maintain the white, but maybe I just need to stay in the fairway more often.

Does anyone else have issues with the arch in Ecco's? They always seem high to me and I've never bought any because of that. It's the only shoe company that I've felt in too, never felt that with Nike, FJ, Adidas, Puma.

Also, for those taking the insole out - do you have no insole in at all? or did you replace with a different sole?

Ecco def doesn't make the prettiest looking golf shoes but they are comfortable and keep my feet dry.  My Biom 3 hybrids look so much better than my Biom gen 2.  Those look like shoes Frankenstein would wear.  My wife calls them clod hoppers.
