New PXG 0211 Line

Longer term follow up on my PXG 0211ST set 

I have a little over 25 rounds played with the 0211 St irons and I will say for me I am striking them better than any other set I have (Callaway X Forged CB 21, Callaway Apex 21) 

a close second would be the Cobra King CB/MB Combo in black.

They fly high go long and sound exactly like I wanted.

6-GW plus 56 0311 forged and 60 degree 0311 forged wedge.

I have owned 0311 multi generation and for some reason these just feel right.

How is spin compared to others?

Interesting to hear because I was trying to decide between the O211s and the Apex 21s. I was leaning the Apexs, but I'm really not sure now as this is a direct comparison.

Tried finding this with no luck yet!  Does anyone know the head size of the 0211 fairway woods, especially the 3 wood and 5 wood?  Looking to make a little change from my current 2016 M2 which is 156 cc. 

 

Currently playing a 15* 2016 M2 3-wood with Matrix Black Tie 6M4 shaft so I'm thinking that the PXG 0211 3W in 15* with the HZRDUS Smoke Yellow 60 would be the closest to my current set-up.

I tried a set of the 0211st and they felt harsh and clanky compared to my Srixon z forged. Definitely not a super soft forging. I returned them and payed the restocking fee. I really wanted to like them.

Got my 0211 3 metal to top off the ole gamer bag with a Fuji Speeder EvoV 757S playing at 42"/D3.5 SW, and its so stable coming from a bucket last night.  I added the 20gram weight plug (had it in my weight kit left over from my driver projects) and its just about perfect with a little higher sound pitch than than my Proto 5 metal. Should be good for the occasional tee shot that needs less than a driver and a little more than a driving iron or 5 metal.

 

I think the 0211 fairways are over shadowed by the Gen4 and Proto but for a lower spin higher launch metal, they are very good. Also I noticed off the turf the "rails" help with getting through...I certainly was not expecting any performance gain.

So the 0211 is really lower spin than the Proto fairway? How are the rails off of a fairway lie? Don't get in the way of a flushed shot?

 

I have to demo the 0211 3 wood at the demo day now.

5-6hundred RPM's less same shaft, heavy weight in the front port on Proto, same loft setting, and swing weight with and added 2-3 degrees of + launch angle on the GC4 for me that day.  You should try it and see how she stacks up against your Proto 3.

 

Yes, this was a pleasant surprise off the patchy and sometimes sandy lies at the range. I could feel the face staying square even on a slightly missed impact. This was a nice surprise and for those times where a par 5 in two is reachable will defiantly grant me confidence. Its a working tech for non-perfect turf interaction...off a tee, of course serves no real purpose.
