Srixon 745s VS Zx7

I gamed the 745's for a while and still to this day I regret ever selling them.  Moved to the 765's and really didn't like them for some reason.  Been happy with the 785's and even picked up a "tinker" set of Z forged, which I've been playing the last few months.  As soon as I saw the ZX7's had the old 745 sole I was in love and put in an order.

If you don’t mind, how is the old 745/new ZX7 sole improved over the 785?  I had the 785s and was blown away by the v-sole. I’m thinking of picking up another set, but would be tempted by the ZX7s if there is a notable improvement.

So would the heel relief mean I wouldn't need to go 2 degrees flat like I have on my 785's and all irons I've had in the past?

 

I know. Get fit right.  But I'm just curious.

Got my set of zx7’s today thanks to (BreezyBrett20). These irons look and feel amazing.

I’m in the 785s and really like the more narrow sole when compared to the 745s. Think i’m going to stick with the 785s this time around and by the time the generation after the zx7s come around they should be worn down enough to warrant a change. Hoping the next generation keeps the narrow sole with heel and toe relief and gets back to the very squared off look of the 745s!

I played the 745s, but sold them when I went on a "I need a more forgiving iron" stream of consciousness.  I should have kept them.  Now, I'm looking at the new ZX7s and do love the feel, but preferred the slightly cleaner look of the 745's cavity.  Splitting hairs as they're both fantastic--it's all in the eye of the beholder.

ZX7 are incredible clubs, best I’ve hit

My Z785's are shaking in the bag.  Tufff to resist the heal relief, thinner sole.  Ive seen that the top line is a wee bit thicker, but nbd.  When yall get your new zx7's be sure to let us know how the feel.  Want

Zx7 starting to get in folks bags, anyone have good comparison pics they can take side by side with the Z745?  Would love to see sole thickness, size, shape, topline etc.   Still trying to determine if these are closer to 785 or more like the cult classic.
