Alrighty party people I am truly sorry for failing ya'll on the Sunday scores post as I was face first in some kick @$$ buffalo chicken dip with a constant waterfall of Budweiser constantly flowing. Love me some Week 1 action especially when I haven't had any football action for 256 days. I've got needs. 😆 Yeah, yeah Washington has started the season off on a sour note with the Chargers handing the home team a devastating L. Seeing as Fitzmagic will be sidelined for a minimum of 3 weeks while on the IR, Heinicke will look to recapture some of that playoff magic from a season ago. So in a nutshell my Sunday looked a little bit like this:

My Lord. 91 and humid. That's Huntsman' s HotLANTA s*** not pure Asheville mountain air. Lol  4 gloves round baby!  Oh I hydrated properly. Last week after reading that thread just on cramping from hot weather golfing I began taking this stuff before, during,and after golf. Many raved about it on the thread and I believe it is helping my condition.

 

I still had a blast playing today. How could I not with no.1 golf bro and mi fav Mike in the group. 

The fellas under the hot sun were battling. It was Stan and LP' s first time playing the track. Mike was a 6 time club champion there a few years back. I didn't find that out until we all were having beers with the pro post round. I' ll give a recap tomorrow. Oh and it involves dogs. Not underdogs but canines.

Maybe I should have picked all 17 weeks last Tuesday?  I believe I went 5-0 for the week.

Let's talk week 2.  I am keeping the picks in the rust belt because, well, its my druthers this AM.

 

This week the lowly Texans travel to the mighty mistake on the lake.  I have been to Cleveland often, but long before the RnR HOF was placed there.  My wife has Sirius, and there is a DJ who claims to be in the hall spinning the platters.  She has a pretty cute voice, and once my wife looked her up and confirmed she was, in fact, an attractive woman.  She also said, I bet years ago she was hot, but this is years ago.  Maybe she was hot when the Moody Blues put out "Ride My See-Saw," and what an apt song for Baker, he shows the highs and lows of a 2nd tier QB.  We only tune into the station for road trips, and you are guaranteed to hear a Moody Blues song, and you will never hear them on the radio, perhaps too esoteric for the masses.  Anyway, I am riding this see-saw and I am going up.  I like the big spread at the Pound, the Texans are trying to tank, they just can't tank enough when Urban Meyer comes to town.

 

I know nothing about the Bears, but I do know, Andrea Martin, John Candy, and Eugene Levy got their start in Chicago.  The Fishin' Musician with Wendy O'Williams is a tremendous skit, as well as most any Edith *****ly and Johnny LaRue.  I have always had an affinity for 3D theater.  Not sure why but it made me laugh out loud.  One night I came home from something pretty late and turned on SCTV and 3D theater came on.  My late mother couldn't sleep and she came down.  I offered to change the channel since the humor isn't quite high brow, and she was laughing so hard at 3D theater she was almost crying.  It is one of many loving memories of my mother, so I ask, "Would you like some pancakes?"  I am taking Burrows and the Bengals to cover.

 

Lastly, let's head to Steeltown and take a look at the visiting Raiders, whom I rode to a big win last night.  The Steelers squeaked past an infinitely better team than themselves, and the Raiders lost to another team who rides the see-saw with their QB.  The Raiders give the Steelers fits, even when they go 13-3 and Raiders go 3-13, one of their three is the Steelers.  Does anyone remember the game when Rich Gannon dinked and dunked 65 times and they beat Blitzburgh?  I do.  I think Gruden was at the helm then, and he is there again now.  Just win baby is the mantra, and with haircuts like Gruden and Davis, there isn't much other hope of meeting one of the vixens posted above.  Well, I like BB over Carr.  Even as a kid I was in the minority, I didn't even love Ric Ocasek as a lead man or their songs.  You Might Think (I'm crazy), but I am picking the Steelers to cover in this one as well.

 

Have a great week fellas, and my charge back to mediocrity is afoot.  Its like when you start out hot on the course but have to have a few bogeys to get back to your comfort zone.

Well Things I learned. 
Jon Gruden is not a bad coach and Mike Mayock is pretty good at finding defensive players who buy in. 
I was wrong about “da Raiderz” at least for now. 
Derek Carr is vastly underrated and gets hell from Gruden a lot 

The Raiders have a arsenal of speed at WR and a great pass catching tight end. 

“0-fer” has a nasty musty old smell to it. Like an old mans slipper after a years worth of watching TV and taking out the trash.  
Like a dirty old cellar that has dead animals rotting in the nooks and dark spaces. Yes I am a cellar dweller after week 1. 
But beware of this cellar dweller. Do not dare join me because I will be gone soon. 
And you might fall victim to my alter ego the “cellar dweller” is not to be toyed with.  
He will feast on all who trespass into his domain. 
The cellar is no place for the faint of heart. Care to join me anyone?
