Is it just the soles that changed?  Or did the midsole foam get an upgraded from EVA?

that  looks like an original Roshe midsole with some g4 tread slapped on.  Hopefully we see a calpyso colorway, that was a great shoe

Same, debating on picking up the previous gen on eBay, but am holding out to see the new ones first.

I'd wait for the VT3, unless you can get the VT2 really cheap.  The current ones are comfortable, but the build quality on them is severely lacking.  I've had 4 pairs of them: first one sent back immediately as it wasn't waterproof playing in early morning dew; got a pair of the BOA version - the BOA dial on one broke the first time I put it on; the remaining two pair all split in the top of the cushioned heel section after a couple of months of wear.  I didn't even bother returning the last pair that split, just tossed them out.

 

They are nice shoes, but the quality is just not there for the price.  Hopefully the new version is better.

I had 2 pairs, one of the black and blue colour with tumbled leather, really nice a bit more durable than the smooth leather varient. sold them on because after about 9 rounds they broke in and became too big once the leather broke in. should of maybe went down 0.5 size but most reviews said they were a bit small fitting

still wearing my other white pair, but the heel is wearing out inside and the leather has scratchmarks on them, prob my fault for playing in the rough, but still, wouldnt probably notice it if they were black. i keep them for really wet weather as i have stinger pros in them. and use my jordan 1s for casual rounds or next% for most of my golf now.

Picked up a pair of black VT2 at golf galaxy for $62 today. Definitely willing to give them a try next season for the price.

 

It looks like John Daly II is also wearing some VT2 is a reddish/white color way.

They're great shoes for $62.  Not for $180 though.

Nike making nasty bad looking stuff. I think they are getting confused what most golfers want lol at least make a modern classic design too. Some of these are mind blowing.

Guess they thought they were doing that with this years Jordan ADGs but they fit terrible and feel cheap to me

I have a few pairs of "rare" Jordan 1s, just regular shoes, not golf. I couldn't imagine walking a single hole in 1s. Basically plywood with the upper part of a shoe attached. 100% fashion over function and comfort. Do people actually walk in Jordan 1s?

 Walk probably 75 rounds/year.  Pretty much everyone at the club walks and there are several of us where the AJ1 Low has become the go-to.  Everyone's foot is different, of course, but IMO they are great for walking.

agreed, theyre also supprisingly grippy too for spikeless.
